Pregnant and Favored: See You in the Morning, Young Master novel Chapter 2416

Unsure what to expect, she simply waited for him to arrive… and in about twenty minutes, Zivon finally arrived. He had his usual black suit and shoes on, and though he still looked as icy as ever, his gloominess seemed to have lifted a little compared to before… Noticing how sullen Xavia looked, Zivon couldn’t help but ask, “…Something wrong…?”

Xavia could ask the same of him, but instead of doing so, she simply shook her head before saying, “No, I’m fine… That aside, what did you want to talk about…?”

Following a sigh, he sat next to her before replying, “So… I’ve been busy dealing with a funeral in the past few days… and now that it’s finally over, I plan to return to my hometown for a bit to pay respects to my mother. With that said, I was wondering if you’d like to follow me there…”

“…Huh? That’s all?” said Xavia who thought that he was going to share some earth-shattering news.

After staring into her eyes for a while, Zivon replied, “…I know you don’t remember anything about my mother, and I don’t blame you for that, but… You should know that she really liked you in the past, and she always wished for us to be happy together… With that said, I really want to bring you and the kids over to her…”

Noticing a change in Zivon’s expression, Xavia couldn’t help but ask, “…Um… Could you please tell me why you’ve been extra sullen recently…? I don’t know, it seems like you’ve been actively hiding something from me, so my mind kind of went all over the place when you texted me earlier, saying that we needed to talk… Couples should be open with each other, right…?”

Upon hearing that, Zivon couldn’t help but smile a little. His wife was getting more mature by the day, huh…? Shaking his head, he then sighed before saying, “…So… The woman who pretended to be your double… She was one of the casualties in that explosion, and… She only died because she was trying her hardest to save me…”
