...Couldn’t he have been a bit more subtle?! That aside, it wasn’t like she wanted to actually seduce Zivon in the first place! Alas, before she could explain herself, she heard Zayne sigh before adding, “No need to say anything, just… Deal with him. I understand. Good luck warming him up!”
With that said, he quickly left the room, leaving Xavia speechless. Though she did attempt to chase after him, she quickly realized that Zayne was holding onto the knob on the other side! She couldn’t get out at all! Left with no other option, she sighed before turning to look at the man who was staring at her from the bed…
“…You knew very well that saying that would make him misunderstand things…”
Chuckling in response, Zivon replied, “Misunderstand…? Sorry, but I only spoke the truth… After all, had you not hugged me in the shower, none of this would’ve happened…”
“I-I was just testing you, that’s all!”
Raising a slight brow, Zivon replied, “Xavia, what did you think would happen? A man and woman in a bathroom with her hugging his back… Do you really think your response is fair?”
…When he put it that way…
Looking at the quiet woman, Zivon sighed before adding, “Regardless, just relax… You don’t need to warm me up or anything… I can just lie down and drink some warm water to fix myself up.”
It got so bad that she couldn’t help but wonder whether he was faking it. But with how calm he looked, it seemed like the coughs were genuine…
Her train of thought was cut short when she heard him say, “Alright, go get some rest… I need to lie down for a bit too…”
Watching as he slipped under the sheets, Xavia remained silent as she stared at him for a while longer… but eventually, she heard him add, “Don’t worry, I’ll be fine soon. A fever is nothing to me, so you can just head on out…”
…Why was he talking about his fever so casually?
