Feeling herself blush a little now that he was staring right at her, Xavia quickly averted her gaze before saying, “W-well… After a bit of research, I now know that we really were married before this… Again, I have no issues with following you home, though…”
Though she was being slightly hesitant, Zivon couldn’t help but feel surprised by her sudden change in attitude. It took him a while, but he eventually pulled a chair over before taking a seat as he replied, “Go on. I’ll do my best to fulfill your wishes.”
Pursing her lips a little, Xavia meekly replied, “…I… Well… If I agree to go home with you, you have to promise not to treat me like you previously have… As in, no touching or looking at me too longingly without my permission… Is that fine…?”
Though he had anticipated something along those lines, he couldn’t help but mutter, “…Though I see where you’re coming from, about our sex life…”
…She had almost fainted from embarrassment earlier when he had checked her privates! Sex was completely out of the question! Clenching her fists, the red-faced woman was quick to say, “L-look, you literally feel like a stranger to me now, so… you can’t expect me to just sleep with a man I barely know…”
Though he didn’t reply, it was evident that Zivon didn’t like the idea one bit. His silence made her realize that despite his age, he had probably had his way with her a lot in the past…
Breathing a subtle sigh of relief, Xavia couldn’t help but feel slightly surprised by how easy he was to talk to… Regardless, she was quick to say, “…I want you to release Cade and help him locate his family…”
Naturally, Zivon’s expression darkened once more, and upon noticing that, Xavia gulped before clarifying, “A-after all, he’s been protecting me all this time… He’s risked his life just to gather the right herbs to treat my past injuries, you know…? What’s more, even though we had little to eat, he always gave me a much larger portion of food… At the end of the day, I was able to stay alive because of him, and I just don’t want to seem unappreciative…”
