“…Listen, I’m your real husband!”
“Y-you’re not! Aren’t you like, thirty? Why would I ever marry someone like you?! Let go of me! Brother Cade! Brother Cade!” yelled Xavia who truly couldn’t see such a nobleman being her husband.
Regardless, upon hearing her cries, Cade was quick to run toward her and push Zivon aside! Standing between them like a shield, Cade growled, “Who the hell are you people…?! Don’t touch her!”
As if Xavia failing to recognize him wasn’t enough, she was now more willing to be with this random person instead…?! Glaring at Xavia, Zivon asked, “…Who is this man…?!”
Though Xavia hadn’t agreed to Cade’s marriage proposal yet, she was afraid enough of Zivon to lie, “H-he’s my husband! As I said, you’ve mistaken me for someone else, so please leave!”
Now brimming with pain, Zivon strode over to her before grabbing her wrist again as he growled, “You dare call another man your husband…?!”
He was deeply infuriated, and his tone made that crystal clear. Just as the trembling woman was wondering what to do next, Cade quickly retorted, “So what if she tells the truth?! Now beat it before I call the cops-”
Before he could even complete his sentence, Wade ended up falling on his back! Zivon had just kicked him square in the stomach!
Glaring daggers at him, Zivon growled, “You’re not even qualified to be her servant…! Take him away, Nathan!”
“Right away, Young Master Burton!”
Shaking his head, he simply replied, “If you squirm any further I’ll have his fingers chopped off. You can choose how many he can keep.”
“You…! You’re a villain!”
Watching as Zivon scoffed in response, his guards couldn’t help but go speechless. Wasn’t finding her supposed to be his happy ending…? Why did this seem like a kidnapping more than anything else…? Knowing better than to butt in, the guards simply sighed and accompanied the duo back to Darlsbury…
Since Zivon had already arranged for some doctors to check on her in the helicopter, she was quickly given a check-up upon their landing…
“Um… It appears that she has amnesia, Young Master Burton…”
