She had initially thought that she would be able to accept death calmly… but with how things were progressing, she was now terrified of the thought. The last thing she wanted was for her beloved to feel so depressed… Alas, given how badly he was already taking all this, she couldn’t help but yearn to stay alive even more than ever…! She… She truly wanted to live on so that she could continue being happy with her family…!
Looking at her teary face, Ian felt his heart ache as he said, “…You’ll live. You’ll definitely live…! Now let’s get you to the treatment room first. We can think about this situation once you’re properly healed…!”
Not even having the will to say no, all Xavia could do was lie quietly in his arms as he carried her off… She used to hate getting treatment, and to be honest, she still did. However, if getting treatment gave her a chance of surviving, then she was willing to put her fears aside…! Only then would she be able to heal her man’s aching heart…!
Moving back to Zivon, he found himself glaring at their wedding room which was still fully decorated… And from the red carpets and bedding to the gigantic wedding photo hung on the wall, all of them only served to piss the already angered man even more. Tossing his coat aside, he flopped onto the couch before lighting a cigarette…
Soon enough, the icy man’s face was covered in thick, grey smoke… It was going to be a sleepless night for him…
Fast forward to the next morning, the Frankstons sat around the dining table as usual to enjoy a hearty breakfast… However, it didn’t take long for Yasmin to notice Zivon’s absence.
“…Has anyone seen Zivon…? I don’t think I saw him last night either…”
Upon hearing that, Xavia’s expression instantly stiffened. Honestly, she had wanted to meet him after the treatment last night. However, since the treatment ended up dragging on till three in the morning, she ultimately decided against it.
She had hoped that her parents wouldn’t question his absence, but… now that her mother had asked, all she could do was mutter, “…He’s busy with work… T-that aside, Von also sent me a text last night, saying that he would sleep at our wedding home since he didn’t want to accidentally wake me up…”
Shaking her head, the saddened woman muttered, “Unless we tell him the truth, I’m afraid that no amount of talking will do any good… Still, I’ll go meet him once today’s treatment is over. I’ll at least try to make peace with him…”
Her days were probably numbered, and she really didn’t want her last moments on earth to be spent arguing with him. Either way, after the treatment ended at noon, Xavia headed back to the villa alone…
The place was quiet, so Xavia assumed that he was probably at his office… Not thinking too much of it, she then put her coat aside before slipping an apron on to make dinner for him… She was going to try her best to please him tonight, and besides, she had yet to cook for him ever since they got married…
Alas, he didn’t arrive home even when it was already half past seven. Feeling helpless, all she could do was attempt to call him…
