About to breathe her last breath?
Xavia was shocked, but before she could say anything, Mrs. Lockhart who was next to her scoffed, “It’s not our Jenna, it's probably that unlucky girl. Why did she come to the wedding? Didn’t we tell her not to step foot into Darlsbury from the very beginning?”
“Is she dead yet? If she is not dead, send her to the hospital. If she is dead, then secretly send her to the morgue. Don’t let anyone else find out about this matter and ruin this special occasion.” Mrs. Lockhart's tone was direct, impatient, and filled with disgust.
Xavia felt her heart clench painfully. Was she really such a meaningless existence to her parents?
Even Zivon, Chace and Zayne never thought Mrs. Lockhart would be so cold towards Xavia.
Unfortunately, Xavia was standing right in front of her and could hear everything clearly.
They could not help but look at Xavia sympathetically. What was she feeling right now?
Currently, Xavia had an indifferent expression on her face, and no one could tell what she was thinking. Her lips curled into a sneer.
“Dad, Mom, I am Xavia Lockhart. The person who drowned is Jenna, so you both had better go and take a look.”
What?
She was Xavia?!
Mr. and Mrs. Lockhart were shocked, and they stared at their daughter in disbelief. After seeing her ruthless gaze and the tiny mole at the corner of her eye, their faces turned pale.
“Xavia Lockhart! It’s actually you!”
“You’re actually pretending to be Jenna? What are you scheming?!”
“Honey, Jenna is more important now. We should go to her!”
“Yes! We mustn't let anything bad happen to my Jenna!” Mrs. Lockhart was flustered as she pulled the waiter and ran outside.
Her anxious behavior was completely different than when she thought that Xavia was the one who had drowned. What a vast difference!
She was soaking wet as she laid on the bed. Her skin was white and her lips were practically colourless. She looked like a corpse!
“Jenna! Jenna!” Mrs. Lockhart ran forward and grabbed the bed as tears streamed down her cheeks. “Jenna! What happened to you? Talk to your mother!”
There was no response, and Mrs. Lockhart turned to the doctor anxiously. “Doctor, is my daughter okay? I beg you, please save my daughter!”
The doctor naturally knew of Jenna’s identity and he said firmly, “Mrs. Lockhart, you can be sure that we will do our best.”
After that, they quickly entered the emergency room. The emergency room door was closed and nothing could be seen after that.
Mrs. Lockhart collapsed into Mr. Lockhart's arms emotionally. “Did you see? Jenna could not even hear me talking to her! Nothing bad will happen to Jenna, right?”
Mr. Lockhart sounded distracted as he comforted her, “No, don’t think too much. Jenna is blessed with a great life and she will definitely be safe and sound.”
Although Zivon did not like Jenna, no matter what, she was still Maison’s mother. He let go of Xavia’s hand and looked at the waiter sternly. “What happened?”
