“You can go outside for now. We will talk later,” Anne said.

“Yes.” Ken walked out and closed the door behind him.

Before Anne could ask Ashlynn about who had captured her, Ashlynn ignored Anthony and blurted out saying, “Ms. Vallois, we’ve all been fooled. The Corentin in the Lloyd Family at the moment is fake. He’s actually Salvatore!”

“Salvatore… who is that?” Anne asked in confusion.

Just then, Anne’s phone on the desk started to ring,

“How long?”

“Two days.”

“Sure. I’ll wait for you.” Anne ended the call and said, “I can’t tell if anything is wrong with him at all.”

Ashlynn panicked. “He’s coming?”

“He said he has something to take care of and will be here in two days. Ashlynn, if you want to resolve this, it’s best to talk it out when everyone is here. I want to know just how sincere he is with the deal between our companies. I wouldn’t have signed the contract with him if it wasn’t for my dad.” Anne felt tricked if Corentin had not agreed to work with them because they were family.

Anne walked over to her. “Just go home and rest for a while, Ashlynn. I will contact you when my uncle is here. Don’t think too much. You will have to face this at some point. Face it with courage. After all, if he wants to track you down, there’s no point in hiding.”
