Sarah was provoked. "We were overseas. What exactly can we do? Don't just make false accusations!"
"Tell me why my dad would write a will like this, then? I'm his real daughter who he had raised, the same daughter he remarried my mom for, yet he left you two everything. Does that even make sense?" Bianca questioned.
Indeed, it did not seem logical.
Anne's eyes darted back and forth between Dorothy and Bianca. "I think that you two did something horrible and enraged Dad into making such a decision."
Dorothy tried her best to conceal the guilt she felt deep down. She knew that Nigel had made such a decision because he found out that Bianca was not his daughter by blood, but that was simply far too cruel of him. As his wife, she had worked hard for their family and was left with nothing.
'I should have accepted his proposal to divorce when he offered to give me everything instead!' She thought. 'Now I get nothing!'
"What exactly can we do to force him into such a reckless decision? I can't think of one thing." Bianca's expression darkened. "All I know is that it makes far more sense if you have coaxed him into this! You weren't in the country, so how did you do it? Did you hire something? Are you going to admit to it yourselves, or should I call the police?"
"That's right. Anne, you claim to love your kids, right? So why did you run off out of the blue?" Dorothy added. "You two probably had everything planned before leaving, didn't you?"
Anne and Sarah's expression darkened. They had yet to recover from the shock from Nigel's will, and now they were accused of plotting.
Robert had not imagined witnessing such a conflict as he had simply come to read Nigel's will. After all, if Nigel remained unconscious, someone would have to take over the operation of the company and based on what was stated in the will, the company was to be inherited by Anne.
Bianca stared at Anne with tears in her eyes. "If you really don't want the money, you should return it all to me and my mom, or it simply proves that you have always been plotting for this to happen."
Bianca hinted at Anne's greed and reminded her that she should give up on anything that was given to her if she had any shred of honor left within her.
"What a joke. Why should we give anything to you? This is Nigel's doing!" Worried that Anne would say something recklessly, Sarah interrupted.
"It's not his doing. You two must have lied to him or something," Bianca said.
"Is your dad a toddler? It's that easy to coax him into giving someone everything he owns?" Sarah retorted.
