Anne jolted and turned to gape at the man standing behind her. “Are you going, too?”

“I want to see you board the flight.” Anthony studied her face stubbornly.

Anne glanced at the flight ticket in Anthony’s hand darkly, realizing that he had bought at ticket just so that he could enter the lounge.

‘Is this really necessary? I hope he is telling the truth,’ she thought.

Anne sat down and glanced at the time on her phone, relieved that her flight was scheduled to take off within half an hour and she would not have to see Anthony once she boarded.

Anthony sat down next to her. “Do you really hate seeing me that much?”

Anne agreed in her mind but turned to look at the planes outside the glass windows before saying, “You are overthinking.”

“Good, then.” He scanned her side profile. “I will come to pick you up when you come back.”

“Are you not busy?” she said impatiently.

Anthony reached for her hand and rubbed her fingers gently. “Work doesn’t matter much to me anymore.”

She pursed her lips and stared at their joined hands, knowing that if she fought him, he would only tighten his grip..

“Anthony, have you seen other women during the time I was gone?” Anne did not know what prompted her to ask such a question.

Perhaps it was simply a warning for Anthony to stop and reflect upon himself so that he would realize putting on an act in front of Anne meant nothing.

When Anthony deepened the kiss, she jolted and shoved him away before hurrying to the bathroom. However, before she had the time to calm herself, the door was opened, and her heart raced when she saw Anthony. “You… This is the ladies’ room!”

“I know.” Anthony locked the door behind him so that no one else would enter.

“What… are you going to do?” Anne panicked as he approached, wondering if he was going to take her right there and then.

Anthony pulled her into his arms. “It’s ten minutes before boarding time. I would need longer than that.”

Reading the hint between his words, Anne felt extremely uncomfortable.

“Just let me hold you for ten minutes.”

Anne stiffened, but her mind drifted as she wondered why Anthony appeared so reluctant to let her go.

“What do I have to do to make you stay?” he asked hoarsely.
