Chapter 1338
“I don’t…” She started to explain that she did not understand, but Anthony interrupted her forcefully and coldly.
“You’d better think carefully before you speak, or you know what will happen.”
Dr. Brown did not dare to speak carelessly after this warning.
Her mind raced with thoughts as she tried to come up with a response.
Did he find out that she had helped Anne?
She would be courting disaster if he had found out and she still lied.
After all, Anthony never did anything without a purpose…
Dr. Brown hesitated for a long time before finally mustering the courage to say, “I helped them contact each other…”
As soon as the words left her mouth, Anthony stood up and grabbed the glass from the table.
Dr. Brown gasped as the cup shattered on her head with a loud crash.
“Ah!” she screamed and collapsed to the ground.
She felt dizzy, pale, and on the verge of fainting.
Blood trickled down her head, over her face, and dripped from her chin onto the floor.
Dr. Brown shook her head, feeling sick.
She knew that being hit like that would have caused a concussion.
Anthony did not care that Dr. Brown was a woman or that she was his personal doctor.
“As my personal doctor, do you know what you’re doing?” He sneered down at her, his face sinister and violent. “If you want to die, I can grant your wish right now!”
Although Dr. Brown was normally brave, she did not want to die.
There was no point in continuing to fight, especially not in front of Anthony.
immediately got up, pulled some bandages and pressed them on her head. “Why did you come here? Go back to the intensive care unit!”
Was there not a bodyguard to look after them? How did they escape?
“We came out from hiding in the car!” Charlie said.
Dr. Brown knew that they meant the cart in the operating room.
They wanted it to be more realistic, so there was a cart with medical utensils pushed in and out of the room occasionally.
They were really smart.
“Is what you said to Papa just now true? Papa hurt Mama and treated Mama terribly, so Mama left?” Their voices were full of sadness.
“That’s not the case. You heard it wrong…” Dr. Brown denied.
These affairs of adults should not concern the children.
