Anne walked out with her slender and beautiful calves all tensed up.
Just when she was feeling the strain, a hand reached out to her from the front.
She looked at the hand in front of her, which was beautifully slender with prominent joints and without any calluses at all at the palm. Just like him, the hand was gentle and flawless, but also embodied the innate strength of a man.
Anne paused for a moment before putting her hand on his palm.
He enveloped her hand and gripped it tightly. With a slight exertion of force, he pulled her up easily.
She lowered her gaze when she met Lucas' eyes, which were glinting in the sunlight.
"It's right in front," said Lucas, holding her hand tightly.
After they went over the hill, Anne was stunned by the scenery before her eyes. It was a white sandy beach with an endless sea.
It turned out that the house was not an ordinary house but a house with a sea view.
"I…didn't even know there's a beach here," said Anne.
"Take off your shoes. It's very comfortable to be walking on this beach barefooted," said Lucas.
Then, both Anne and Lucas took off their shoes.
The beach was so clean and beautiful. It would indeed be spoiling it if they were to walk on it with shoes on.
Anne put her feet down, and her fair feet looked even fairer under the sunlight.
She noticed that Lucas was looking at her feet, so the skin of her feet reddened a little.
She walked forward in panic and buried her feet in the white sand.
As she stepped on the fine sand, it tickled the tender soles of her feet and even slipped into the gaps between her toes. It was warm and ticklish, so she could not help but wiggle her cute toes.
Lucas held her hand. "Let's take a walk."
They then walked forward along the beach at a strolling pace.
She wanted to forget him very badly and she no longer wanted to think of that person.
The hand that was gripping her hand tightened a little, which made her regain her senses.
As Lucas walked forward, he kept turning his head back to look at her. He was like a ray of sunlight shining on her.
That made her body feel warm.
"There's no yacht here. I'll have someone drive one over later. We can go out to sea," said Lucas.
There was a slight glint in Anne's eyes. She involuntarily thought of the only time she went out to sea. Anthony was there, the children were there…
She closed her eyes and forced all those things that she should not be reminiscing about out of her mind.
She looked toward Lucas with a faint smile. "Sure!"
Lucas stopped in his tracks and stood still in front of her. His tall figure was slightly bent, and his eyes behind the glasses were staring at her. "This place that Tommy found is very safe. There are no cameras. Anthony won't be able to find this place no matter how resourceful he is. Therefore, stay here for the time being. When Anthony let his guard down, I'll take you away."
