Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 994

{Point in time: Back to 20 years ago when Little Jelly Bean was three years old.}

Roar.

It was summer and thunder roared above the sky in North City. Rain was pouring furiously from the clouds.

It was only about 5:00 p.m. in the afternoon but the sky had already turned dark.

Little Jelly Bean, who was only three years old, covered her ears in the Fudd family’s mansion. She ran to the bedroom in her short legs and bumped into Heaton’s long legs. She nearly fell down.

“Daddy! It’s pouring outside!”

Little Jelly Bean hugged Heaton’s leg with her tiny hands. Her dark, beady eyes were fixated on the stormy weather and dark sky outside.

Heaton bent down and carried his daughter. He consoled her softly, “Don’t be scared. Daddy’s here.”

Little Jelly Bean wrapped her arms around Heaton’s neck and said, “Daddy, the lightning cut the trees into half. Will it strike and cut our house into half as well?”

Heaton was amused upon hearing his daughter’s words. He said, “We have insulators and lightning rods installed in our house, so the lightning won’t strike our house. Don’t be afraid, alright?”

Little Jelly Bean bit her hands and nodded her head in a serious manner. “Alright!”

A gale was blowing outside.

Heaton carried his daughter downstairs and asked, “Where’s Monty?”

Little Jelly Bean said, “Monty is on the phone with Aunt Yanny. It seems like Aunt Yanny can’t stop crying.”

Heaton frowned. Did Yanny have a fight with Jinn?

Verian was done talking to Yanny when Heaton and Little Jelly Bean arrived downstairs.

Heaton asked, “Did something happen to Yanny?”

Verian took a glance at the weather outside and worriedly said, “Yanny said she’s coming over to our house and she said you’re the only one who can save her. She didn’t tell me the details but it seems like she’s in a panic. Did she call you?”

“Little Jelly Bean was playing games on my phone just now. Jelly Bean, did you receive any calls earlier?”

Jelly Bean handed the phone over to Heaton and said in a cute voice, “I did receive a call but I can’t read, so I’m not sure who it is. You can take a look for yourself, daddy.”

Well, of course a three year old kid could not read.

Heaton checked his phone and saw a missed call. It was indeed from Yanny.

Verian frowned and said, “Did something happen to Yanny and Jinn?”

Heaton asked, “Where’s Yanny right now?”

“She said she’s on the way here when she called me, but the rain is pouring outside. I hope she doesn’t get into an accident.”

Jinn called right when Heaton was about to say something.

Heaton picked up the call.

Jinn’s voice sounded as cold as ice on the other end of the line as he asked, “Is Yanny at your place?”

The Fudd’s Group was Yanny’s second agency, so Heaton was considered as her boss. She was quite close to Heaton as well.

Jinn could search the whole North City to look for her, and the only person who could stop him was Heaton.

Hence, it was understandable that Jinn thought Yanny would look to Heaton for help.

Heaton frowned. He did not like Jinn questioning him in that tone. He said, “Yanny is not at my place. Did you eat a bomb today? Why are you so angry?”

Jinn gritted his teeth and word by word, he said, “Heaton Fudd, just to be clear, if you really think of me as your best friend, don’t meddle in my business with Yanny.”

He hung up as soon as he finished talking.

Only the sound of wind and rain was left on Heaton’s side.

Verian asked, “What did Jinn say?”

“He warned me not to meddle with his business with Yanny.”

She pulled the door open violently. Ignoring the pouring rain, she tried to escape to where Jinn could not control her.

However, she was destined to not be able to escape after meeting Jinn.

The door of the black Bentley was opened. A tall guy in a black suit got out of the car and walked toward her under the rain. He was raging.

Yanny saw his silhouette through the rain. It was as though she saw a demon. She was frozen in her spot.

Jinn strode toward her and pulled her into his embrace.

Yanny scratched him, bit him, hit him, and kicked him. She was shouting hysterically, “Jinn Shayne! I don’t want to save Cara! I want Cara dead! She and her mother were the ones who killed my mum! She should have died earlier!”

The man wrapped his hands around her neck tightly. He lowered his lips to her ear, gritted his teeth, and whispered coldly, “Yanny, I swear I won’t allow Cara to walk all over you if you save her this time. You won’t have to care about taking care of Jacob's family’s feelings from now on. You’ll live happily with me. Cara and Jacob won’t bother us anymore.”

Every word he spoke sliced into her like a knife.

A very gentle knife to be exact.

Yanny laughed mockingly. Tears and rain intertwined on her cheeks. She lifted her head to look at Jinn and said, “So I have to save Cara in exchange for you to live happily with me?”

“Yes.”

Yanny’s hope shattered into pieces with only one word.

She laughed coldly and said, “Jinn, I can save Cara, but on one condition.”

Jinn never saw such a gaze from Yanny. She was as cold as ice.

Yanny said word by word, “I can donate my blood to Cara, but I want you to leave me forever.”

It was like a curse.

Jinn went straight into panic mode.

However, he had no other choice.
