Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 941

Boyle hung up and slumped into the sofa.

He leaned his head against the sofa, closed his eyes and fell into deep thoughts for the whole night.

Huntley and Whitney called after midnight.

Huntley said, “Boyle, tomorrow… Whitney, Hector and I will visit you guys at North City. Cher doesn't have a lot of good friends. Let Whitney spend some time with her.”

Boyle said, “Alright.”

After a while, Boyle said, “Thank you.”

Huntley smiled and said, “Come on. We’ve shed blood together in the trenches. Moreover, Whitney and Cher are best friends… Cher is unwell now, so of course we need to pay you a visit.”

Boyle got up from the sofa in the living room at 6 in the morning and went back to the bedroom.

Cherie was still deep asleep.

Boyle placed her phone back into its original place, climbed into bed and crawled under the quilt. He hugged her tightly.

Cherie became a light sleeper ever since she fell sick. Hence, she was not really fast asleep. She trembled as she felt the cold when Boyle lifted the quilt. Then, she snuggled into his embrace and wrapped her arms around his waist. Eyes still shut, she mumbled gruffly, “Where did you go? It’s so cold without you.”

Boyle lowered his head to look at her cute face. His gaze was filled with love and affection as he said, “I made some porridge. We can have breakfast right away when you wake up later.”

Cherie’s stomach grumbled as she heard the word breakfast. She rubbed her tiny face against his warm neck. “I’m craving for dumplings from the Moonlight District.”

“Alright. I’ll go buy some later.”

Cherie hugged him and said coquettishly, “No, I don’t want you to leave my side.”

She was attached to him like a kid.

Boyle’s ice cold heart melted. He lowered his head and pressed a kiss on her fair forehead. Then, he laughed in his deep voice. “You want to eat dumplings but you don’t want me to go. Which one do you want then? Dumplings or me?”

Cherie opened her arms so he could hug her as she muttered in a childish tone, “I want both you and the dumplings.”

Boyle hugged her tightly. He caressed her soft and disheveled hair with his huge hands and said, “I’ll ask Calum to buy the dumplings then.”

Boyle hugged her as he stared into space.

Cherie leaned into his embrace and closed her eyes. Her thick eyelashes trembled as she opened her eyes suddenly to look at Boyle. “I don’t want to be alone, so don’t leave me alone, alright?”

She became more sensitive after she fell sick.

Boyle gave her a side glance and held her hands in his palms. He promised her in his hoarse voice, “Alright, I won’t leave you here alone.”

Cherie felt more reassured now. She hugged his neck and rested her head on his neck. Then, she mumbled, “The people from the hospital will come get me if you leave me here alone. If they bring me away, you’ll never get to see me again.”

Boyle felt as though there were a million stones pressing on his chest. He felt suffocated. “I can still visit you in the hospital if they take you away. We can still meet each other.”

Boyle tried to convince her.

However, Cherie got angry when she heard Boyle taking the hospital’s side. She pulled the quilt and covered herself with her back facing him.

“You’ve been bribed by the people in the hospital.”

Boyle looked at her hiding under the quilt. He reached out and pulled her back. “The people from the hospital won’t dare to do that. If they ever do that, I’ll tell them off.”

“But you’re taking their side.”

“Cherie, I’m not taking their side. I will take your side no matter what.”

Cherie peeked out from the quilt as she grabbed the quilt with her hands. She looked at him in doubt and asked, “Really?”

Boyle looked straight into her eyes and answered, “Mm-hmm, yes.”

Cherie snuggled into his embrace one again like a satisfied kid. She said, “I’ll eat all my meals on time and sleep well. As long as you’re here with me, I’ll recover.”

Boyle reached out his hand and brushed her hair away. He remained silent and looked at her affectionately.

Cherie blinked her eyes at him. “Is that alright, Boyle?”

“Yes.”

Cherie said in an upset tone, “But Little Bean Sprout is looking forward to knowing you.”

“I’ll meet her in the future. The right time will come.”

Huntley, Whitney, and Hector arrived at the mansion after Boyle and Cherie had their breakfast.

Whitney rushed into the house first and immediately hugged Cherie.

Cherie was taken aback.

“Whitney, are you trying to choke me to death?”

Whitney hugged her tightly and tried to hold back her sobs.

She purposely complained, “Why didn’t you contact me these days? I’ve been feeling so bored. You can chat with me anytime, you know. I have not even received a single text message from you these days.”

Cherie did not know how to answer her. She did not think about Whitney at all recently.

Whitney warned her fiercely, “Talk to me whenever you’re feeling down next time. Or else, I’ll get angry!”

Huntley opened his arms and smiled as he looked at Cherie, “Cher, I haven’t given you a proper welcome since your return to North City.”

Cherie took a glance at Whitney and said, “I think it’s not really appropriate for us to hug.”

Whitney was being very generous and said, “He’s not my husband today. Hug him as much as you want.”

Cherie took another glance at Boyle. Boyle nodded his head at her with a faint smile on his face.

Huntley kept his arms open. Cherie gave him a hug to avoid everybody from feeling awkward.

Hector opened his arms as well. He smiled and said, “Cher, since you hugged Huntley, give me a hug too!”

Cherie hugged Hector.

Hector said, “Welcome back to the big family.”
