Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 904

"I only wanted to save our relationship by going back to her. She's sick because of me and I can't just sit idly by without doing anything. Since I was the one responsible for her condition, I should be the one to fix her."

Although Boyle spoke in a neutral tone, he sounded firm and confident.

Heaton's gaze looked incredibly cold and menacing. If he was not a well-educated man, he would have already punched Boyle in the face.

Heaton probed in a hostile tone, "How are you planning to do that? Are you going to continue hurting her or are you planning to push her to slit her wrists again?"

Boyle stood up and gave Heaton a very sincere bow as he said, "Please give me another chance, Mr. Fudd. I promise I will fix her and return her back to your hands unharmed and well again this time."

His attitude was extremely sincere while his voice sounded respectful. However, he did not seem to be willing to back down.

However, Heaton completely missed the genuine sincerity and determination from his voice as he said, "So, you're telling me that even if I'd intervened and tell you to stay away from my daughter, you'd be unwilling to do so now?"

Boyle stood up and straightened his back as he said, "I'm really sorry, I can't bring myself to do such a thing."

Heaton gritted his teeth and suddenly stood up before flinging his clenched fist at Boyle's face.

It was a strong punch.

The corner of Boyle's mouth bled in an instant.

However, he had no intentions of fighting back as he stared at Heaton with a calm gaze before saying, "Mr. Fudd, if by punching me several times more can calm your hatred toward me, I don't mind getting punched by you."

Heaton grabbed onto Boyle's collar, clenched his fist and swung his fist at Boyle's face. However, he stopped before his punch connected with Boyle's face.

"Boyle Lawson, if by punching you can cure Jelly Bean's depression, I don't mind beating you to death."

At the end of the day, Heaton was still a rational man. Hence, he clenched his fists before lowering them furiously.

It seemed like his fists were twitching slightly and Heaton seemed to be fuming with rage.

Boyle's throat twitched as he exclaimed in a serious tone, "Please think this through Mr. Fudd. Please allow me to take part in Cherie's treatment. You and I currently share the same goal and all I want is for Cherie to recover as soon as possible. If I am the root cause of her trauma, I will be more than willing to help her through it."

Heaton closed his eyes and was overwhelmed with frustration as he assessed Boyle thoroughly.

"Don't you ever forget that even after seven years had gone by, your father was still the person who kidnapped Jelly Bean back then. How can you guarantee Jelly Bean's safety?"

"I wasn't strong and powerful enough seven years ago and my fears caused me to not have the ability to protect her then. However, I am more than capable of completely cutting ties with that kidnapper now. I have been keeping a close eye on his every move in the last seven years."

Heaton remained silent.

Heaton knew that Boyle was at the bottom of the food-chain seven years ago. When he investigated Boyle back then, he had never once denied Boyle's excellence and potential. It seemed that the poor teen with nothing back then was standing at the peak of wealth seven years later.

However, Boyle's wealth and power was never something Heaton considered to be the most important quality of a person.

The only thing Heaton wanted to know was whether or not the man in front of him would still hurt his daughter.

Handing Jelly Bean to him seemed hopeful but also very risky at the same time.

There was extreme uncertainty on whether or not Boyle was going to trigger Jelly Bean's trauma or if he was actually going to make her depression worse.

However, Heaton was left with no options.

That was because his most beloved daughter had attempted to commit suicide once.

Heaton's eyes were bloodshot red as he furiously exclaimed, "If you dare hurt Jelly Bean again, Boyle Lawson, I will make sure there is no Earth your corpse will be able be buried under."

Heaton turned around and left the coffee shop after leaving Boyle with the warning.

Since Cherie had to attend Mandy's party, she had not left the capital yet.

However, the flight ticket she had booked back to North City was scheduled to depart tonight.

Just as she was packing her luggage at the hotel, her phone rang.

Boyle was the one calling her.

Cherie raised her brows and although she seemed a little reluctant, she still picked up the call. She asked, "What is it?"

Boyle had already arrived at the entrance of the World Trade Hotel, which she was staying in at that moment.

"Aren't you returning to North City tonight? Let me send you off."

Cherie refused without any hesitations, "There's no need for that."

"I'm already at the hotel's entrance."

Boyle nodded gently and completely agreed with her statement. He said, "Well, I had to learn from how persistent someone was when she pursued after me back then. You know, resort to scams if possible. I believe I made good progress in learning to be clingy."

Cherie was speechless.

Who exactly was he referring to now?

Boyle grabbed her luggage with a smile and dragged the luggage behind him as they walked forward.

Somehow, Cherie was annoyed when she looked at how arrogant and carefree he seemed. She exclaimed, "Since when was I clingy, Boyle?"

She had never even scammed him of his feelings before.

"Well, I guess my memory is bad then."

Cherie was speechless as she glared at his back.

Boyle asked intentionally, "Were you mad at me for smoking earlier?"

Cherie was speechless.

Boyle explained with a smile, "I know I've promised you to never smoke again but you know, stress builds up and it gets to me, especially when I have no one who loves me by my side. Well of course, now that you're back by my side, perhaps it was just me losing something upon gaining something else so, there are times when I actually can't control myself, you know."

Cherie was speechless.

"I won't do it again next time, okay?"

Cherie was speechless again.

She finally turned around to look at him. She was staring intensely at him as she asked, "Boyle Lawson, how shameless can you be?"

"Very."

Cherie exclaimed while staring at him, "I am not your lover and we've broken up for a really long time now."

Boyle was not angry as he said, "If you don't want to be my lover, you can be Madam Lawson, you know."

"... President Lawson, you've humiliated yourself completely now. Please pick your face up from the ground."

Boyle stared intensely at her as he said, "I can give up on anything but all I want is you."
