Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 902

In the president office of Fudd Group.

Kush rushed in with a frantic look.

Heaton could pretty much guess what it was about as he asked, "Did you find anything?"

"I did and these are all the information about Boyle in the last seven years. I've also found some things about what Cherie has been doing in America. However, due to how long the timeline was, I couldn’t pinpoint her reasons or exact motivation of her actions."

Heaton spent nearly an hour carefully reading through the information that was handed to him.

He sat down in complete silence after an hour.

Kush could feel the severity of this situation even while he was just standing beside him.

He found out that Jelly Bean had severe depression.

Boyle had become more capable and stable during the seven years.

His daughter, Jelly Bean however, had become more depressed and dejected compared to her cheerful demeanor seven years ago.

He did not care much about Boyle instead, he was just worried about Jelly Bean's condition.

Kush said, "Boss, it seems Boyle had returned around the same time Jelly Bean did. They were in very close contact with each other recently and I've taken quite the number of pictures of them in public."

However, Kush did not hand Heaton those pictures he had taken.

That was because Heaton would not want to see those pictures.

Heaton's gaze dimmed as his throat twitched. He asked, "Where is Boyle right now?"

"He was in North City yesterday but he should be in the capital today. MO Group has just entered our country and the company’s branch is located in North City and the capital. Boyle has been travelling back and forth recently."

Heaton clenched his fist and pounded his forehead gently. He closed his eyes in frustration and was worried about his daughter.

He thought Jelly Bean was only mature to not behave as mischievous as she was back then. However, he never thought that his cheerful daughter would have depression and even attempted to take her own life four years ago.

He felt like a failure since he could not believe that he could be this careless as a father.

Kush had no idea what to say and all he could do was comfort him by saying, "Don't you worry too much, boss. Jelly Bean is already back in North City and this is a good thing. She was in Philadelphia previously and she was too far from you guys. It was difficult for you guys to take care of her. Now that she's back, you can take care of her if anything happens, boss."

Heaton got up and said, "I need to head back home. Postpone this afternoon's meeting. I might need two days to take care of some personal matters."

"Alright. Don't you worry boss, I'll watch over the company for you."

Heaton nodded gently, grabbed his keys and left the office.

He got in his car after arriving at the basement carpark. He sat down in his seat for a really long time before finally calming down.

He started his car and drove off after that.

In the Fudd family home.

Both Little Jelly Bean and Little Pickle were eating ice cream together on the porch by the time Heaton arrived home.

Old Master Fudd was sitting down in a shaded area of the corridor. He was fanning himself with a fan while having a great time with his grandchildren.

Summer was incredibly hot in North City.

After Heaton finally parked his car, his throat tightened as he stared at Little Jelly Bean from his seat.

Jelly Bean made a suicide attempt by slicing her wrists four years ago. If she had not been saved then, he would have already lost his daughter by now.

He always thought he had given his daughter enough fatherly love when he provided her with the best education and support. He wanted her to grow up happily and be free to do whatever she wanted. However, he never expected that in the process of self-discovery, she hurt herself and he never knew a thing about it as her father.

Heaton raised his arm, covered his eyes and rubbed his temples.

He only got out of his car after he spent a very long time mentally preparing himself to face her.

Heaton kept a warm smile while he walked over to her from the courtyard.

Harrison said with a puzzled tone, "What were you doing in the car earlier, dad?"

"I was looking for a magazine. Why aren't you three in there? Aren't you guys afraid of getting a heatstroke for sitting out here?"

Old Master Fudd replied with a smile, "The air conditioning is always on indoors and I feel uncomfortable when I stay under it for too long so I had these two youngsters keep me company out here. The breeze is relaxing out here, you know."

Heaton walked over to Jelly Bean's side and asked, "Does the ice cream taste good?"

Cherie was sitting on a small bench like a little child. She looked up at Heaton with a smile and said, "It's not bad."

Somehow, Heaton's heart wrenched when he looked at Jelly Bean's innocent smile. However, he kept his smile as he said, "I'll have someone buy more and store it in the freezer then."

Cherie raised her brows and said, "Dad, I'm not a child anymore. It's really rare for me to eat ice cream and Harrison and I are the only people at home who'd eat ice cream anyway. I don't think we'd be able to finish it till next summer if you bought too much."

"It doesn't matter if they go to waste as long as you love eating them."

Harrison nudged Jelly Bean with his elbow while eating his ice cream. He said, "Sis, this is all on you so please don't take away what little joy I have."

Heaton patted his son's head and said, "You little brat. Have I never loved you?"

"Dad, I'm sweaty. Stop patting me." Harrison dodged his head away.

Verian noticed Heaton had a serious look on his face when he entered the house.

Verian asked, "Did something happen at the office? Why the awful look?"

Verian frantically turned around and wiped her tears as she desperately tried to cover her emotions.

Harrison teased, "Dad, were you bullying mom?"

After Verian calmed down, she turned around and spoke with a smile, "No."

Harrison shifted his gaze back and forth at both adults as he said, "Dad, is your company going bankrupt?"

Heaton gave him a kick and said, "You little brat, what nonsense are you spouting?"

Harrison immediately ran away after that.

Verian bit her lips and stared at Heaton as she sobbed, "I'm scared Heaton… I'm worried that I might break down in front of our kids."

Heaton caressed her face and said, "We will be at our breaking point when you eventually break down in front of our kids. Just give me some time to take care of this. Don't worry. I'd still be able to shoulder the entire weight of this family even when the heavens collapse on us."

Heaton hugged Verian and gently patted her back.

In a quiet coffee shop at the capital.

A couple was sitting at a secluded area in that coffee shop.

The woman seemed to be in her thirties and was holding onto a Hermes bag. She looked elegantly attractive. However, she did not seem like someone to be crossed.

Boyle took a glance at the woman's bag and cracked a smile. He seemed polite as he took out his phone and showed Madam White a picture.

"Madam White, your husband has given the same bag that you're using now to another woman."

Madam White took a glance at the picture and saw a man hugging a woman's slender waist. They were leaving the special Hermes counter at Sentinel Mall.

Even if the man in the picture was reduced to a pile of ashes, she would still be able to recognize the man!

Madam White gritted her teeth and immediately cursed after looking at the picture, "This b*stard has a deathwish now, eh? He dare use our family's money to pay for his mistress! I will not be his wife if I don't murder him!"

Boyle looked calm after listening to Madam White's furious rants. He said, "Madam White, the woman in this picture is called Natalie Jones. She used to work as Mr. White's translator. It's nothing more than a walk in a park for you if you want to find her."

"That b*tch! So, you were seducing my husband at work! I will rip her face off if I see her!"

She was letting out a string of curses.

Madam White realized how inappropriate she was behaving after venting her anger since she knew how high profile of a person she was meeting with.

Madam White stared at Boyle with an immensely grateful gaze as she said, "Thank you, so much for letting me know about this, President Lawson. Or else, I'd still be a complete idiot. It'll be more difficult to deal with if the b*tch gets pregnant and somehow blackmails me with her unborn child."

Boyle chuckled calmly and replied while a menacing glint flashed across his eyes, "Don't mention it."
