Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 880

Cherie turned around and stared at Natalie who was approaching her from behind.

"What do you want?"

Natalie stood in front of her and asked, "Why were you ignoring me just now?"

Cherie chuckled and said, "Why should I bother talking to someone who has once hurt me?"

Natalie's expression turned pale as she said, "I didn't mean for any of that to happen back then. You smashed my phone, so I…"

Cherie was not in the mood to listen to her excuses since she found them annoying. Because of that, she immediately cut Natalie off. "If you weren't acting like a complete b*tch, do you think I'd even bother to smash your phone?"

Cherie grew up in a very educated and polite household and would very rarely use vile curses to describe anyone. However, using the word, 'b*tch' to describe Natalie seemed perfectly fine to her.

Natalie was offended after being called a b*tch. She seemed to have a complete shift in personality when her guilt was immediately replaced by shameless confidence.

"Who are you calling a b*tch, Cherie?"

"You."

"Don't even think for a second that you're able to freely insult anyone just because your family's rich."

Cherie replied calmly, "It's not an insult. I'm merely speaking the truth."

Natalie was trembling from being infuriated by her and exclaimed, "Oh please, just get off your high horse. Do you actually think the entire world revolves around you?"

"Whether or not I'm arrogant has nothing to do with you. It’s because I'm arrogant that I won't deliberately cause other people harm nor would I intentionally bring any trouble to anyone. On the other hand, you are a completely shameless b*tch that wants to deliberately cause others harm and trouble. Hence, I have a choice to completely ignore you. Your life and whatever you do has nothing to do with me."

Cherie was about to turn around and leave after leaving Natalie with that statement. However, Natalie immediately grabbed her wrist.

"Are you actually planning to pursue legal action against me?"

Cherie stared intensely at her. It seemed that Natalie looked afraid and panicky. However, she lacked remorse in her eyes.

Cherie coldly pulled her wrist out of her grasp and said, "It's entirely up to me on whether or not I want to tell you that. Besides, even if I were to inform you about it, it’ll be through a court order anyway."

"You can't sue me. I didn't mean any of that. It was an accident."

Cherie grew impatient as she said, "I don't accept your apology."

Upon realizing that nothing was getting through to Cherie, Natalie grew impulsive and wanted to reach out and slap Cherie's face.

However, Cherie grabbed her arm before flinging it aside and giving her a sharp slap across the face.

Natalie held onto her face while furiously glaring at her and exclaimed, "You dare to slap me!"

She was no longer the same Natalie from seven years ago and it seemed that not any random person was able to bully her anymore.

However, Cherie seemed completely unfazed after slapping her in the face. She exclaimed clearly, "Similar to seven years ago, if I dare to slap you in the face then, I'd dare to slap you in the face now. I'm warning you, don't bother me ever again before I take any legal action against you because I'm not sure myself just when I'd lose control and actually feel like getting my revenge on you."

Natalie gave Cherie an extremely hostile glare.

While staring at Cherie, she furiously exclaimed, "You’re a f*cking snake, Cherie. Do you know that? Everyone else has been tricked by your pure and innocent facade! It was only an accident, Cherie! What right do you have to slap me?"

"Right. What right do I have to slap you? Well, let's start with you being a murderer. Shouldn't you pay for the sins you committed then?"

Natalie was speechless.

Natalie was one of the murderers that caused her miscarriage back then.

Just as Natalie was about to turn around and leave after Cherie had left the scene, she noticed a pair of custom-made leather shoes while her head was lowered.

As she slowly shifted her gaze upward, the shoes were paired with a pair of very well-ironed black jeans.

They turned out to be donned by a very elegant looking man.

Natalie looked up instinctively and immediately noticed the man's incredibly handsome face.

"Boyle, Boyle Lawson…"

It seemed the man looked incredibly intimidating after they had not seen each other for seven years.

She heard that Boyle had become the president of the international MO Group company and was the company’s largest stakeholder.

It seemed the man was beyond wealthy.

Words could not describe the status and power Boyle held at the moment.

Natalie began tearing up tremendously as she asked in a pitiful voice, "You… You heard everything earlier?"

Boyle coldly glared at her in silence. His gaze felt like sharp blades.

Natalie frantically explained, "It's Cherie, Cherie was abusing her power. She hit me…"

Boyle's expression looked menacingly cold as he exclaimed, "I taught her to bully the weak. You know, I only think that hitting you will just dirty her hands."

Natalie was shocked and stared wide-eyed at him.

Boyle crossed his arms and walked by Natalie. He exclaimed without looking back at her, "Don't bother her ever again or else, the next time wouldn't be as simple as a slap on the face."

Natalie was speechless.

She withdrew her hand and said, "How can it hurt when I was the one doing the beating? I believe you should be asking the victim if it actually hurts."

Was Natalie not someone he had a fling with previously? What was the matter? Could he really not feel bad for her?

Boyle stared intensely at her and said, "It really doesn't matter to me if it hurts for the victim as long as it doesn't hurt you."

Cherie assumed Boyle was truly a coldhearted man since he used to share such an interesting fling with Natalie in the past and at that moment, he had the audacity to pretend not to care?

However, it made sense to her on a much deeper thought since they once shared a very strong and passionate relationship with each other in the past. It seemed during that period, she actually thought they would spend the rest of their lives together as well but it turned out with a sudden shift, he was able to act ruthlessly cold toward her.

What the sweeping monk at the monastery at Pride Mountain said was true. Boyle was indeed a coldhearted man.

Huntley, Hector, and Whitney all arrived at the parking lot after a brief moment.

That was the first time in seven years that Hector had met with Cherie and he could not help himself from being extremely excited about it as he exclaimed, "Oh my god, Cherie, you're still so pretty. Come on now, let me give you a hug."

Just as Hector was about to hug Cherie, Boyle immediately held onto Cherie's hand and pulled her away from Hector, stopping him from hugging her.

Thus, instead of hugging Cherie, Hector was actually hugging Boyle at the moment.

Hector exclaimed, "...Oh, Boyle, I don't want to hug you. There's nothing fun about hugging another man."

Huntley rubbed his chin and teased, "I see it’s really hard being Boyle's girlfriend. No one else can hug her."

Cherie was speechless.

Whitney scoffed and said, "Oh please, my Cherie isn't even willing to be Boyle's girlfriend. Let's go now, Cherie."

Cherie entered the parking lot with Whitney after that.

The trio of men were following behind them.

Hector jokingly teased, “Boyle, I thought you already broke up with Cherie."

Huntley exclaimed, "You have quite the silver tongue there. Such courage to poke the bear."

Hector said, "Say, Boyle, can I go after Cherie now? I'm also single at the moment."

Boyle coldly exclaimed in a very serious manner, "She's mine."

Hector rubbed his nose as he thought about just how unreasonable Boyle was since he was unwilling to even let go of his ex-girlfriend.

Huntley patted Hector's shoulder and said, "Hey, you shouldn't go after your best friend's wife, you know."

Hector exclaimed, "... Dude, I was just joking to lighten up the mood and all. Stop being so serious now."
