It was unsure which media leaked information about Cherie returning home.
It went viral the very next day.
"World famous pianist Momo has returned to the country in a very low profile manner."
When she clicked on the viral post, it turned out to be a video from the original poster.
The video showed Cherie in a black baseball cap walking out the airport with her head lowered before getting in a black Maybach with two men.
"Oh my god, the goddess Momo has returned."
"I am an art student and I major in playing the piano. Man, Momo is absolutely our role model."
"There are very few locally impressive pianists that made it big into the international scene. Momo is one of them who succeeded. Not to mention she's so young too. Man her natural talent is insane."
"However, why do I find posts about Momo playing offkey after searching about her through a VPN?"
"There are plenty of speculations out there about Momo having depression and the medication she was prescribed with caused her to play off key."
"No way right? She's such a young and talented pianist though. It'll be such a shame if she actually has depression."

A glint could be seen in Boyle's eyes when he read the viral posts in the Greentown Condominium.
She had returned home to North City.
While Boyle patted Boney who was eating its food with one hand, he grabbed his phone and made an international phone call.
"Calum, inform our international team to move a branch of our operations to North City."
It seemed MO Group already had plans to enter the local market for quite some time now. Most of their plans involved setting up a branch in either the capital, North City or other local cities. It seemed it was only a matter of time before they set up a branch in both the North and the South to form an economic hub for them. Therefore, it was only a matter of time before their marketing team entered and set up a branch in North City.
The only thing was, his boss had always been quite the calculative and careful person. He was ruthless in his methods but was always thorough in executing everything. How could he act so rashly at this moment though?
Calum dared not comment too much about his boss' orders and how his boss planned to expand his business ventures. Thus, he said, "Yes boss, I'll get it done right now."
After Boyle hung up the call, he said while patting the cat beside him, "You'd be able to meet her real soon now. Are you happy?"
Boney replied with a meow.
…
Cherie was invited out by Whitney on the second day of her return.
Whitney ranted at her like a maniac the instant they met.
"Cherie Fudd! You never called me once in all these years! How could you be so brutal! Do you have any idea just how much I missed you all these years? Do you have a new best friend in America and not want me around anymore?"
Cherie teared up a little when she noticed just how excited and energetic her old friend was. She said, "I don't mean to do that. The only thing is, I feel like I don't know what to talk about if I called and besides you have a fiance now. It won't be appropriate for me to keep annoying you by calling you all day now, right?"
Whitney glared at her and said, "What do you mean annoying? Am I really your friend or not? Even if I've married Huntley, you should still call me, okay! He's not as important as you are! Men can be replaced, best friends can't!"
Cherie laughed as she said, "Oh, if Huntley was to know you said that, will he still even want to marry you?"
Whitney raised her brows and spoke in a furious tone, "He wouldn't dare! If he doesn't marry me, I'll look for another man then!"
Upon noticing how carefree Whitney was behaving, Cherie knew she must have a solid relationship with Huntley all these years.
Whitney fished out a name card from her bag before handing it over to Cherie. She said, "Here. There's a charity dinner event this Friday. Your daddy Fudd might be going as well since my dad is also going. I heard that some very powerful people will be attending this event too. Man, I believe those who attend the event are handsome people. You can pick your poison since those people will submit to how beautiful you are.”
Cherie rolled her eyes at her and said, "Ugh, such a meaningless event. You can attend it on your own."
"No way. Are you even my best friend? You absolutely have to come with me! Cherie, you haven't met another person in a very long time already. How are you going to overcome your personal trauma if you keep acting this way?"
Cherie replied without hesitation, "I've already overcome it."
Whitney bit her lips and finally spoke in a serious tone, "If you really did then how could you possibly know what I was referring to when I asked you how'd you overcome your personal trauma earlier?"
Cherie was speechless.
"Cherie, that man isn't worth it. You deserve so much better."
Cherie pouted her lips and lowered her gaze before calmly replying, "I'm not waiting for him. Honestly."
She was also not in the mood to date anyone at the moment.
"You know he's also in America right? He's doing so well himself but has he ever contacted you?" Whitney was blunt.
Cherie could not help but admit she was actually hurt by Whitney's blunt remark. She pouted her pale lips and spoke with a forced smile, "No. Come on now, we're both in the past so why should he even contact me anyway?"
"Well he shouldn't act so heartless when we were all schoolmates. Besides, we were all extremely close once."
Cherie bit her lips and said, "Today isn't the first day you knew him and he's always been a lone wolf so how could he possibly contact me on his own, right?"
Not to mention, even if he did actually contact her, what could they possibly talk about?
Was he going to contact her as her schoolmate, her ex-boyfriend or as an old friend?
