Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 85

Heaton Fudd had a serious look on his face after he got out of the patient’s ward.

Little Jelly Bean was cuddling up in Verian Mont’s arms as her eyelids grew heavier. The little rascal could no longer keep herself awake and was about to fall asleep. Heaton Fudd ordered Verian Mont, “Bring Little Jelly Bean home to rest first, alright.”

Verian Mont was stunned. “What about you?”

“I’ll stay here to take care of the old man. He should be fine after tonight.”

“This whole ordeal started because of me. Let me stay here to watch over the old man with you.”

“Even if you don’t need rest, Little Jelly Bean can’t wait much longer. Take her home first.”

Verian Mont lowered her head and looked at the little rascal who was completely exhausted and was about to fall asleep in her arms. She nodded. “Alright then. I’ll send her to school tomorrow morning.”

Heaton Fudd fished out his keys from the pocket of his jeans and handed it to her. “Drive my car home. It’s not safe to hail a cab this late.”

She accepted the keys. “I’ll bring Little Jelly Bean home first, then…”

After only a couple of steps carrying Little Jelly Bean, she turned around and said, “I’ll pick you up from the hospital after I’ve sent Little Jelly Bean to school tomorrow morning?”

Heaton Fudd was standing there with his incredibly slender and elegant body. He waved single-handedly while staring at her with a compassionately warm gaze. “There’s no need. I’ll have Kush Xavier pick me up tomorrow morning. Hurry up and go back now, alright.”

It was unsure why a couple of simple statements from him made her heart feel so warm.

Perhaps it was the way he watched her leave from a distance. It was just so natural and did not stand out the slightest bit. They truly resembled a married couple. This warmed her heart incredibly.

After Verian Mont brought Little Jelly Bean home, She carried Little Jelly Bean into the child’s room and wiped her tiny face with a warm towel, took her jacket off then watched her for a little while. After that, she did not disturb that little rascal’s sleep. She gently shut the child’s room door.

“Verian Mont, you truly are a jinx!”

Verian Mont heard that vile statement just as she shut the door.

She shifted her gaze and all she could see was Nancy Xander furiously staring at her. She scoffed, “Sister-in-law, regarding this ordeal, it seems that you too, are responsible for this, right?”

“Hmph! What a joke! It was you who agitated dad so much by behaving uncharacteristically to send him into the hospital. How was I responsible?”

“Sister-in-law, how did you know it was my behavior that agitated him?”

Nancy Xander scoffed, “Of course. It was the maids who had told me! You guys were arguing so violently that at that moment, even the maids heard you! Verian Mont, you’ve completely embarrassed our Fudd family!”

“There’s no need to pretend, sister in law. Both dad and Heaton Fudd aren’t here and I know it was you who told dad about our fake marriage. However, why must you ruin me?”

Nancy Xander stared at her with a dissatisfied look. “You’ve overestimated your self-worth. As much as I wanted to exile you from the Fudd family home, I wouldn’t do something this stupid. If I had truly told dad about the fake marriage ordeal between you and Heaton Fudd, you’d be able to guess it was me without much effort, right?”

It was true. As bitter as Nancy Xander was toward Verian Mont, she might not have actually told Old Master Fudd about it. However, there were very few people who knew about this. Who was it that hated her so much to have wanted to use such leverage in order to exile her from the Fudd family?

Aside from Nancy Xander in the entire North City, the only person she could think of was Wanelle Sheen.

Nancy Xander approached her and scoffed. She shoved the document she was holding into her hands. “There’s no need for me to snitch. Verian Mont, if I want you exiled from the Fudd family home, it’ll only take a single statement from me. I am Heaton Fudd’s only lover. I was, I am and I will still be.”

After Nancy Xander shoved an unknown document into her hands, she arrogantly entered her room. Verian Mont then looked at the document with a frown.

… DNA report.

She violently furrowed her brows.

On one end it was Heaton Fudd. On the other end, it was Zayne Fudd.

The parental report stated they were both father and son.

The fingers clutching the report turned slightly pale.

Zaynie was actually Heaton Fudd’s son…

Her heart was wrenching tightly while an array of complicated emotions manifested inside her.

The little rascal replied honestly, “Ever since Monty moved into our house, daddy started eating breakfast. Daddy usually didn’t eat breakfast back then and would only tell Jelly Bean to eat.”

Verian Mont was stunned. This should be a coincidence, right?

What kind of correlation did her moving into the Fudd family home had anything to do with Heaton Fudd eating breakfast?”

This had to be a coincidence.

However, this little rascal sure was witty.

Verian Mont smiled compassionately as she raised her hand to pat her little bowl cut. “You’re only three and you’re a pretty good observer. You’ll be exceptionally smart when you grow up.”

The little rascal licked her strawberry jam and looked extremely adorable. “There’s no need to wait till I’ve grown up. I’m smart now, right Monty?”

“Yes, indeed. Jelly Bean sure is smart.”

After sending Little Jelly Bean to the kindergarten, Verian Mont stared at the breakfast that was on the passenger seat. She hesitated for a brief moment.

The moment she recalled about that parental report, she had no mood left to deliver this breakfast as she immediately drove to the office.

Let him starve to prevent him from making another child with someone else if he was full.

Verian Mont was completely startled after that thought flashed across her mind.

How was her jealousy this heavy for her to even be stung by it?!

Verian Mont immediately shook her head and rid her mind off those thoughts as she continued to focus on driving.

Upon arriving at the basement parking in Fudd Group, Verian Mont once again noticed the breakfast sitting on the seat. After she got out of the car, she immediately threw it into the trashcan by the elevator.
