Ruby left the quarantine zone in the middle of the night.
Blaine laid in bed after Ruby left. He found it difficult to go to sleep after that.
He was repeatedly thinking about the little fox's cunning face. When she looked at him, her only focus was him and he was the only person in her eyes. Those eyes were unique only to him, no one else.
…
At noon the next day, an excited shriek could be heard coming from the quarantine zone.
"I did it! I finally succeeded in making the vaccine for the SA supervirus!"
Nines bolted straight to Blaine like an excited maniac while exclaiming, "Director, I can save you now! I can finally save you!"
Blaine seemed surprisingly calm in comparison to how excited Nines was. It was ironic since Blaine was the patient.
Blaine stared at Nines as he said, "I've never doubted you and I've always had faith in your ability to synthesize a vaccine for the SA supervirus."
Nines clenched his fists while his eyes glimmered brightly. If Blaine was not a man right now, he would have already hugged him and swung him around.
…
After Blaine and the other patients received treatment for the SA supervirus, it did not take long for the disease to be under control and for people to recover.
The quarantine zone in the infirmary was finally dismantled.
After the SA supervirus was under control and after every patient had received their required treatment, another catastrophe was successfully averted.
After Blaine was discharged, every single soldier in the base organized a gathering for him.
The campfire was lit under a starry night. Ruby and Blaine were gathered around the campfire with a bunch of soldiers.
The men in the military base had been cooped up in quarantine for a really long time now. They had not seen a real woman for a long time, especially women as beautiful as Ruby.
Not everyone from the base knew Ruby belonged to Blaine.
Hence, after noticing how amazingly beautiful Ruby was, the soldiers around her started cat calling her.
Blaine's gaze dimmed as he watched the woman dance amongst the crowd. Although she was not exactly professional, her slender waist more than made up for her shortcomings especially that beautiful face of hers. No one would care about how badly she was dancing.
Blaine always knew his little fox was beautiful. If she was not as menacing as she usually was, she would have significantly more pursuers after her.
Fortunately for him, his little fox had fangs and no regular men would dare approach or handle her temperament.
At this moment however, when Blaine scanned the area, he noticed that every single soldier had their eyes completely glued to her body.
Somehow, this triggered the possessive nature of the men.
