Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 741

Cindy tightened her brows slightly as she saw Blaine tittering. “Master Blaine… What are you laughing at?”

Blaine shook his head. “Nothing. You may leave now.”

Cindy clenched her fists. Was Master Blaine not bothered by Ruby video calling another man or had he believed in that woman too much?

Just as Cindy was about to leave the room, Ruby came upstairs with Blaine’s dog, Hahah.

The moment Ruby entered the room, she spotted the plate of fresh-cut fruits on the desk. There were dragon fruits, strawberries, kiwis and oranges. To her, the plating made the fruits look appetizing and tempting.

Blaine naturally noticed the sparkle in her eyes. A mischievous look flashed across his eyes as he said, “You want to eat?”

“Yeah, it’s too bad that you left the fresh, juicy fruits aside. Should I clear it off for you?”

“Go ahead.”

Ruby walked toward Blaine and took the fruit platter. As she turned around and was about to leave, Blaine stopped her. “Who gave you permission to leave?”

Ruby was a little puzzled. “I will affect your work if I eat here, won’t I?”

Blaine pointed toward the couch in the study room with his chin and said, “Just sit there and eat. It won’t affect me.”

Cindy who was at the door clenched her fists as she saw Ruby casually sitting cross legged on the couch while eating the fruits she prepared for Blaine.

The fruits she cut whole-heartedly were eaten by Ruby instead.

That Ruby did it on purpose!

In the study room, Ruby was eating the fruits while talking to Blaine, “Perhaps, Ms. Cindy despises me to death now. Even the oranges were cut into heart shapes. She prepared it out of love. Don’t you want to have a bite?”

Blaine placed the documents on the desk and looked at Ruby who was pinching the love-shaped orange with her slender fingers. He stood up, walked toward her and sat by her side. Suddenly, he grabbed her wrist, pulled her hand toward him and ate the orange she was holding.

Unavoidably, the man’s lips brushed against her fingertips.

Ruby wanted to retract her hand but Blaine bit onto her finger lightly.

Ruby felt speechless.

Was he trying to provoke her or he merely wanted to eat the orange?

Blaine stared at her intently. As her cheeks were gradually flushed due to embarrassment, he let go of her hand.

Ruby quickly placed her hand behind her back and pinched the fingertip where his warmth remained. She could only feel that her ears were burning.

“It’s sweet.”

After finishing the fruits, she sighed lightly. “Cindy must be regretting not putting poison in the fruits.”

“She wouldn’t dare to do so. If you’re dead, I’ll have her buried with the dead as well.”

Blaine’s indifferent reply shocked Ruby and she looked at him in astonishment.

“Why are you staring at me? Are you thinking that your man is handsome?”

Ruby asked in a solemn manner, “Master Blaine, did you really fall in love with me?”

At that instant moment, she could feel that Blaine genuinely loved her to the extent that his love for her was deep and profound.

It must be her hallucination.

Blaine hauled her into his embrace and wrapped his arms around her waist tightly. He then looked straight into her eyes and asked, “Will you believe me if I say I love you?”

Ruby lifted her hand and covered his mouth to prevent him from kissing her. Her rosy lips curved into a faint smile. “It will make you seem frivolous if you talk about love now.”

Blaine removed her hand from his lips and huffed coldly. He then carried her in his arms and placed her on the couch before heading towards his work desk. “Why did you ask then?”

Ruby was utterly speechless.
