Ruby was sleepless in the middle of the night when her body was being locked by the man’s long slender arm.

Ever since she worked as a secret agent, she was a very light sleeper because her life could be in danger at any given moment so she dared not to fall into too deep of a sleep. Not to mention, it would be much worse when someone else was sleeping next to her.

The only reason she was able to sleep so soundly on her first night here was due to her arriving at night.

However, now that Blaine was hugging her, she found it really difficult to fall asleep.

Ruby turned over gently and stared intensely at the sleeping man with her dark beady eyes.

‘Whoa, he’s handsome alright. Really handsome.’

His lashes were as lusciously thick as hers.

She could not help herself from raising her arm and tracing his brows with her fingers. However, the man reacted to her touch. Although the man did not wake up, he grabbed her mischievous little hand.

The man nuzzled against her neck as he mumbled, “Stop fooling around, Softie.”

Softie? Who exactly was Softie?

Cindy came over last night and somehow a Softie appeared tonight?

Whoa, Blaine had quite the colorful life to have both Cindy and Softie.

She actually thought Blaine was not a lust-driven man back then.

Ruby turned around and laid on her back as she stared at the ceiling.

‘Sigh, if it wasn’t for Wilson, I wouldn’t have to go through this hundred day deal.’

The more she thought about it, the more she wanted Wilson dead.

Just wait till she got out of R Country and returned to North City. She would have her revenge on Wilson!

She thought about just how much of a wonderful time Wilson must be having with Serene and how he could sleep so soundly at night for leaving her alone in R Country. Not to mention, she had to even tend to Master Blaine’s needs. She was fuming the more she thought about that.

The man next to him seemed to be talking in his sleep as he dreamed, “Softie, Softie…”

The man hugged her waist tighter with his huge hand before locking her within his embrace while Ruby nearly suffocated.

She originally intended to yell into Blaine’s ear saying, “I am not your d*mn Softie!”

However, she felt that waking him up would be bad for her. Thus, she held back her anger, glared at him before speaking in a soft tone, “I am not Softie.”

Ruby then raised her leg and gave Blaine’s thigh a kick.

However, Blaine seemed to be too lost in his dream. He did not wake up after being kicked.

Blaine seemed to be having a nightmare later that night as his grip on her waist grew tighter and it felt like he was about to crush her waist. He buried his face into her nape while sweating cold sweats as he mumbled Softie’s name in a soft tone.

Ruby felt warm fluids trickling down her neck and it was unsure if that was his sweat or tears.

What exactly was Blaine dreaming about to terrify him this much?

Ruby fell asleep in the middle of the night and she turned out to be the one that was in deep sleep when morning came.

Rays of the morning sun seeped through the window and lit up the room.

The instant Blaine opened his eyes, he could see the woman that was curled up like a little kitten in his arms.

Her long black hair was messily draped over his shoulder as he noticed her skin that looked extremely white. When the morning sun poured into the room through the window, it reflected on her cheeks. He could clearly see tiny hair that was on her white little face as his heart thumped.

The man could not help but raise his hand to tuck her messy hair behind her ear and kissed her forehead and the bridge of her nose.

“Hmph, I have no idea what Master Blaine was thinking to even want to mingle with a woman like you!”

“What is your purpose for being by Master Blaine’s side again? Are you trying to murder Master Blaine or trying to steal confidential information about the Dark Organization?”

The instant Shadow entered the house, he began rambling on a tangent.

Ruby was completely clueless to what exactly Shadow was talking about so she said, “Oh, Shadow, when you kidnapped Serene back then, you’re really lucky that White Wolf didn’t murder you then. Now, you have the audacity to talk terms with me?”

“Black Rose! Don’t you even think about changing the topic! I’m asking you what your purpose is for staying by Master Blaine’s side! I will kill you if you’re lying!”

Ruby rolled her eyes as she said, “I wanted nothing more than to leave Blaine too but it’s all thanks to your beloved Director Glaceau that I’m here in R Country so, why don’t you ask your director instead? Do you think I’m that easy to be bullied by you asking me what my purpose is?”

“Black Rose! Don’t you think for a second that I can’t do a thing to you when you’re sleeping so soundly by Master Blaine’s side. If you dare harbor any ulterior motives toward Master Blaine, I will have your head!”

Ruby scoffed as she exclaimed, “Oh, I’m terrified alright!”

‘Your director was the one who had ulterior motives in the first place!’

Not only did he harbor ulterior motives, but he was also having a blast feeling her up!

Before Shadow left, he pointed at Ruby furiously, seemingly hinting at her to watch herself.

She raised her brows slightly when she recalled what Shadow said to her earlier.

Ruby scoffed as she assumed Shadow was only displeased with her as she said to herself, “Oh, please, you’re incapable of snatching me away and yet you’re blaming me? How pathetic.”

Cindy raised her brows when she heard the conversation she had with Shadow upstairs.

‘Ruby is part of the Light Organization? Why would Master Blaine even keep an enemy around by his side?’

A menacing glint flashed across Cindy’s eyes.
