Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 719

Ruby immediately hugged Blaine.

Blaine was a little stunned. She was usually the talkative type. However, it was very rare for her to hug him this way.

Blaine raised his arm and embraced her while gently patting her back.

“I will appreciate the patch of skin that you transplanted for me, Blaine.”

Blaine cracked a calm smile at her reply.

Ruby released Blaine slightly, still hugging his neck as she stared directly at him with her beady eyes. It was unsure who started seducing the other as they were close to kissing. However, before they could, a young woman’s voice could be heard coming from outside the study.

“Where’s Blaine? I want to meet Blaine. What was he trying to do when he left me alone on North Bayou Island? He was the one who told me to wait for him there in the first place!”

The lustful atmosphere was completely shattered as Ruby frowned slightly. She asked, “What did you do to Princess Holly?”

A cunning glint flashed across Blaine’s eyes as he said. “In order to save you, I tricked her to stay at North Bayou Island for two days.”

Ruby was speechless as she rubbed her nose.

Holly then barged in from outside while exclaiming, “Blaine, you…”

Before she could finish, she noticed Ruby sitting beside Blaine. Holly grew furious and immediately stepped forward to push Ruby.

However, Ruby was caught off guard. Since she had just gone through a skin graft on her chest, she groaned in pain when Holly grazed the wounded area as she forcefully shoved Ruby away.

Blaine frantically reached out to help her up as he said, “Are you okay?”

Holly grew even more furious when she noticed how concerned Blaine was toward Ruby. She exclaimed, “Blaine! She must be acting! I merely gave her a gentle push! She’s not as weak as water now, is she?”

Holly began to throw a fit as she said, “Blaine, let me take a look at how I’ve injured her! She must be acting! She’s only trying to make you feel bad!”

Blaine immediately grabbed Holly’s wrist and told her coldly, “Are you done throwing a fit now, Holly!”

Holly began to tear up after Blaine yelled at her in such a hostile way. She mumbled while sobbing, “Blaine, my father told me Softie is a spy sent by one of our enemy countries! Why are you still protecting her! What if she hurts you someday!”

Blaine raised his brows and flung Holly’s arms away coldly. He then turned around and carried Ruby in his arms before leaving her with a heartlessly cold statement, “It has nothing to do with you regardless of whether Softie was to hurt me or not. Please head back home. I don’t like having guests around.”

Blaine was already exiting the study after making that statement.

While Holly stared at his back, she sobbed. “Why did you leave me in North Bayou Island alone, Blaine?”

Blaine paused while his gaze grew colder by the second. “Your father had sent someone to kidnap my Softie. Only by holding you hostage in my territory was I able to rescue Softie from your father. I was lying to you when I told you about wanting to have a vacation with you.”

Holly clenched her fist as she bit her lips while holding back her tears. It seemed she had been used by Blaine from the very start.

She absolutely detested it… What right did a mysterious woman have to snatch all of Blaine’s care and attention away from her?

Blaine placed Ruby on the bed when they returned to the room.

“I’m fine, Blaine. I don’t need to lie down.”

Blaine asked with a frown, “Holly was too impulsive earlier. Did she hurt you?”

“Yeah. I mean, she did but not anymore. I think Princess Holly is the one that’s hurt.”

“What do you mean?”

Ruby asked, “You rejected her in such a blunt way. Look at how sad she was. That means you’ll be standing against the President in the future. Aren’t you worried, Blaine?”

“Oh, it’s only a matter of time for me to cut ties with Paul. He wanted another term for his presidency but the Dark Organization already has its secret candidate. He’ll hate it once he knows and will cut ties with me. As for Holly though…”

“What would you do if someday, I find you uninteresting anymore and stopped liking you then?”

The little fox stared at him with a serious gaze as she touched his chest with her little hand. She said, “I’ll kill you then, Blaine.”

Blaine did not seem surprised as he grabbed her little hands with his huge one, giving them a squeeze. He asked, “Do these pair of hands know how to hold a gun?”

“No, but I can learn. Will you teach me, Blaine?”

Blaine hugged her and after thinking about it for a really long time, he squeezed the little fox’s waist and said, “I’ll teach you when I’m happy.”

“What makes you happy then, Blaine?”

Blaine lowered his head and whispered something into Ruby’s ear.

Ruby immediately pulled Blaine’s huge hand away and exclaimed, “Blaine, you ruffian!”

Blaine loved teasing the little fox. Only by making her flustered would he be satisfied.

Blaine got up, patted her hair, and said, “I’ll be getting back to work now. You can lie here for a bit.”

Blaine brought Ruby to the shooting range after dinner.

The only thing Ruby knew was there was space in the basement after living here for so long. However, she had never actually come here herself because the entrance to the basement required Blaine’s fingerprints to enter.

There was a training ground, a shooting and archery range, stables, and more facilities in the basement.

Blaine helped Ruby pick a pistol that would suit her as he said, “The recoil for this pistol is not that strong and it’ll be easier for you to practice with these. I’ll pick a different gun for you when you get good enough.”

In reality, Ruby happened to be an extremely impressive sharpshooter. However, since she had to hide her abilities, she allowed Blaine to hug her from behind, grab her hand, and teach her how to hold a gun and fix her posture.
