Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 685

Half a year had gone by and another winter came.

Wilson invited a bunch of friends to his baby’s first birthday party.

Heaton and his family arrived earlier at Wilson’s mansion at ten in the morning. Due to North City’s winter being extremely cold, Verian quickly brought both Little Jelly Bean and Little Pickle into his mansion when they arrived at his courtyard.

After Heaton parked his car, he followed them from behind into the house at a leisurely pace.

Serene was sitting on the carpet while playing with her son and the instant the baby noticed the guests, he immediately pushed Serene’s hand away and waddled his way toward Little Jelly Bean and Little Pickle.

The baby first approached Little Jelly Bean and immediately hugged her.

Serene spoke with a smile, “Look Verian, my baby loves your Jelly Bean. He lunged at her the instant he noticed her.”

Verian was staring at the baby’s innocent little face and teased intentionally, “Such a shame. Your baby is only a year old and our Jelly Bean is already seven. My father-in-law would not approve of her dating anyone younger.”

Little Pickle scoffed and gave the baby a very disdainful gaze as he mocked, “Wow, he lunged into my sister’s arms the instant he noticed her. The baby will no doubt be a very lustful person when he grows up!”

Both Verian and Serene laughed at his remark.

Verian patted her son’s head as she advised, “Oh Little Pickle, how could you say that about your little brother?”

Little Pickle pulled Verian’s hand away in a very displeased manner. He was frowning with his handsome little face before exclaiming coldly, “Mom, I’ve told you many times before to stop patting my head. I’m an adult now and if you really want to pat someone, just pat my sister’s.”

Little Pickle continued, “Also, stop calling me Little Pickle already. It’s too cringy and it doesn’t even suit my personality the slightest bit. Please just call me by my name.”

Verian was not surprised by her son’s reaction since even while he was at home, he would still want Verian to call him by his name. However, Little Jelly Bean would mischievously inched next to his ear and yell out his nickname which would infuriate Little Pickle a lot.

Little Jelly Bean advised her little brother, “Little Pickle, you’re only three and still is a little brat so why do you not allow Monty to call you that?”

Harrison snapped back at his sister, “You’re the little brat! I’m just like daddy. I’m an honorable man!”

Heaton could immediately hear his son’s bold exclamation the instant he entered the house. He said, “Are you unhappy for being called Little Pickle again?”

Little Jelly Bean complained, “Daddy, my brother’s nickname is Little Pickle but he just wouldn’t allow me or Monty to call him that!”

Little Pickle lamented to Heaton with an innocent look, “Daddy, mommy and my sister keeps calling me Little Pickle. I’m so embarrassed by that name.”

Heaton casually snapped back at him, “Goodness me, how old are you and what on earth are you going to do with that pride?”

Harrison replied, “Hmph, I see through you now! Daddy you’re a slave to your wife and daughter! When can you elevate your status in our family’s hierarchy anyway?! Aaah!”

Serene lamented as she listened to Verian talk about Yanni and Lucy’s relationship, “Our group of couples sure have it rough. Fortunately, we turned out quite well.”

Verian nudged Serene with her shoulder as she teased, “Madam Jarret, you’re living quite the life since your Mr. Jarret loves you so much.”

Serene scoffed as she lamented with a depressing look, “Oh, you have no idea. Wilson invited Ruby on my baby’s first birthday. I think she’s currently on her way here. Oh, I’m going to suffer when I meet that demoness again.”

Verian could not help but laugh as she said, “Not bad, Wilson. He actually invited your prime romantic rival here. You know, you no longer should be afraid of her since you’ve already given birth to a child now.”

“I’m not afraid of her snatching Wilson away. She can be… well, I have no words for her. I’m afraid of her scaring my relatives and my child.”

Verian comforted her, “Don’t worry, both our husbands are here and they are technically retired veterans now. I don’t think she’ll dare cause a scene.”

Serene replied, “You know, my baby should technically call Ruby aunty. Ruby actually came for my baby’s first monthsary party. They instantly bonded well. Sigh, my baby is hopeless now. He will go wherever a beautiful woman is present.”

Verian could not help but laugh as she offered her generous opinion, “I saw Ruby too during your baby’s monthsary party. I’ve greeted her as well. You know, I can’t help but admit she does look a lot prettier than a lot of A-list celebrities so it’s only natural for the baby to lunge at her. Say, do you think Ruby will kidnap your child next time and be like the protagonists in the ‘Legend of the Condor Heroes’? You know, give up on his harem of women just for a single girl?”

Serene was thinking irrationally now as she said, “Verian, who’s your best friend anyway? I won’t ever allow Ruby to kidnap my baby away! My baby should be marrying a beautiful princess like your Jelly Bean! How could he be with a demoness like her!”

Little Jelly Bean who was playing nearby heard her name being mentioned so she rushed over like a little goddess and asked, “Aunty Serene, did you just call me a beautiful princess?”
