Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 663

At the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Peak Valley Town Hospital.

River led Lucy to the bench so that she could rest. He went to take a number and looked at the current number on the screen.

"It'll be awhile before it's your turn, probably more than half an hour. You didn't eat much this morning. Shall I go get some food for you?"

Lucy experienced car sickness the entire journey. Even though she did not puke, she did not have much of an appetite as well. "It's fine, don't go. I don't feel like eating."

River looked at her pale face and insisted. "Even if you don't feel like eating, think about the baby. I'll buy something delicious, plus a hot drink or something. You look pale; if you don't eat, I'm afraid you might pass out."

River stood up and left. He said, "Wait for me here. I'll be back soon."

"It's fine, really. It's so troublesome to get food outside."

River laughed. "There's nothing troublesome about that. You're pregnant, so I'll have to care for you."

He was a considerate man and slightly stubborn, too. Lucy could not stop him, so she nodded.

When River left, Lucy received a message. It was from Mr. Q. He wrote, [I'm in Peak Valley, where are you?]

Lucy was stunned. She did not expect that he would go to Peak Valley, and so suddenly, as well.

[I'm at the hospital for my checkup. You want to see the school principal and kids, right? Go to Zephyr Primary School. If you're not in a rush, I'll be back in the afternoon.]

Mr. Q sent her a reply. [I'm also in town, send me a location.]

Lucy did not know how to answer him. She was a cautious person, and she was at the hospital. It was not convenient to meet with him.

Furthermore, she did not know anything about Mr. Q. It would be bizarre for a single woman to meet with a man by herself. They were only virtual friends. People might gossip if they saw them together.

Lucy sent a reply. [I will be back at the school in the afternoon. We shall meet then.]

Well, they did not have a relationship at all.

He looked at her cold gaze, and his heart ached. She was about to get married to another man, and she was pregnant with that man's baby. Why would she still think of him or want to see him?

However, Yanni was unwilling to let things go.

He lifted her chin so that she had to look at him and asked, "Where is your man? Why did he not accompany you here?"

Lucy frowned. She tried to pry his hands away from her. "What nonsense are you talking about? Let me go! I'm leaving."

"No."

Outside of the washroom, people were moved in and out. Yanni took one look at their surroundings before he bent down and carried Lucy. "This is not the place to catch up. Let's do it at a different place."

Lucy screamed, "Yanni, let me down! I don't want to catch up with you!"
