Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 649

It did not take long for Little Jelly Bean to bump into someone due to how crowded the mall was and how much she was hopping around with a bag of chips.

Verian frantically rushed over as she held onto Little Jelly Bean’s little hands and apologized to the other person, “Sorry, my child bumped into you.”

The instant Verian looked up, she noticed a familiar face. She was slightly stunned as she said, “Sam? Sam Joyce?”

She had not seen Sam for a really long time now. Did Sam not leave North City already? Why did she run into Sam at the mall then?

Sam immediately covered her face with her scarf and spoke in a calm tone, “I’m not Sam.”

Lucy hastily ran off after leaving Verian with that statement.

Heaton rushed over too from behind. He asked, “What’s the matter?”

Verian stared at Lucy who had already hid herself amongst the crowd as she replied in a slightly stunned look, “I think I saw Sam earlier. Didn’t you tell me that Yanni was looking for Sam previously? She’s still in North City though.”

“Are you sure that’s who you saw?”

Heaton looked at that direction as well. However, the mall was incredibly crowded and Lucy had already disappeared.

Verian replied in a confident tone, “I’m sure it has to be her but she said she’s not Sam earlier.”

“Well, she’s not exactly Sam anyway. I told you, she’s Sam’s sister and her name is Lucy.”

“Then, why did she act as if she doesn’t know me?”

Heaton replied after some thought, “She might have snuck back to North City. I don’t think Yanni knew about this yet.”

Verian stared at Heaton hesitantly and asked, “Are you planning to tell Yanni about this then?”

“Lucy has disappeared for so long and now that she’s suddenly back, I’m worried that she might have some ulterior motives. I think it’s better to have Yanni solve this mess directly with her.”

Verian nodded.

In the meeting room of the Yash Company.

Yanni was in a meeting when he received a phone call from Heaton.

“Riana and I ran into Sam at the New Terra Mall.”

Yanni’s eyes lit up the instant he heard Sam’s name. She asked, “When was this?”

“Literally just now. If you send some people here now, maybe you might even get the chance to find her.”

Yanni hung up the call immediately and told the board of directors, “We will put today’s meeting on hold.”

The instant he said that, the man got up and rushed out of the meeting room.

Yanni immediately ordered his personal assistant, Dan who was following behind him, “Send someone to the New Terra Mall immediately to look for Sam.”

“Yes, sir.”

This time, he would never allow Sam to escape again.

Her disappearance lasted for half a year and did she have any idea just how much he missed her?

After Lucy bought some daily necessities and got out of the New Terra Mall, just as she was about to hire a cab, she was surrounded by a few people in black suits.

“You guys… what do you guys want?”

“Miss Joyce, we are not here to hurt you. We were sent here by President Quain.”

Yanni’s throat twitched as he frantically said, “Sammie, I know we had our differences and we have been apart for so many years. You are still not used to the change yet. That’s fine, I can wait. I can wait till you fall in love with me again. Or perhaps, you’ve never loved me back then but that doesn’t matter. We can start over. As long as you’re willing to stay by my side, I’ll agree to anything you want.”

Lucy teared up as she stared at him. She could see the sincere love in his eyes. However, although he had once given her those same feelings, it had never once belonged to her.

Lucy pouted her lips and shook her head. She said, “Yanni, you still don’t understand what I’m saying. I… I am not Sam. I never was. I am Lucy. Sam is my biological sister and we have a similar face. My sister has been long dead and the person that you love has always been my sister.”

Every single word felt like sharp blades slicing through Yanni’s heart.

The woman in front of him said that she was not Sam…

Yanni cackled coldly and said, “Do you think I’d believe you with this lie you made up? Sammie, you have to come home with me today and I will never let you go ever again!”

Yanni was holding onto Lucy’s wrist like a true ruffian as he dragged her back with him.

Lucy yelled and wailed at him, “Yanni Quain! Are you deaf? I told you, I’m Lucy! Let go of me! The person you love is Sam! She’s my sister! Let go of me! I don’t want to go with you!”

However, Yanni ignored her as his eyes seemed excruciatingly cold. He immediately shoved Lucy into his car.

The black Bentley was speeding its way back on the road.

Lucy wanted to dive out of the car. However, the doors were locked and she was unable to open it.

Yanni immediately dragged Lucy out of the car upon arriving at the mansion. He carried her on his shoulder and entered the house in a very barbaric manner.

Lucy was kicking and hitting him. However, Yanni seemed as if he could not feel any of it as he carried her upstairs.

However, when they were walking upstairs, Aunt Yen noticed her master carrying a woman on his shoulder upstairs from the living room and realized that woman turned out to be none other than Miss Joyce who had disappeared for half a year!

Yanni threw Lucy onto the huge bed. Lucy then stared at the man who was inching closer to her as she backed away. She said, “I told you that I’m Lucy! Why won’t you believe me!”

Yanni continued to ignore her while his gaze looked incredibly menacing. He said, “Before you come to a definite conclusion, from today, you are not allowed to step a foot out of this room.”
