The driver drove toward South City’s Multimedia University and stopped the car at the hostel lobby where Xylean stayed.

Verian notified Xylean about her arrival and subsequently turned her toward her driver, Uncle Jay. “Uncle Jay, you can head home first. I’ll spend some time with Xylean and head back to Gaunt Mansion by myself.”

“Okay. You can call me after you’re done. I will come and pick you up.”

“That’ll be great.”

Xylean was already in the lobby, waiting to welcome Verian just as she alighted from the car.

Verian put on a mischievous smile. “I’ve sent him back to North City. I’ll be staying here for a week, mainly to accompany Madam Gaunt.”

“How would I know that? He might be swayed by the salesgirl who thought that he was rich and foolish. Let’s not talk about him. I’ll bring you to our cafeteria and eat something delicious.”
