Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 395

After Verian finished her breakfast, she went to her friend's room and knocked on the door.

Serene rushed to open the door.

"Have you had your breakfast yet, Verian?"

Verian nodded. "I am here to ask Dr.Jarret something."

Wilson replied, "Heaton might not be in Rome. You don't have to worry."

Wilson had been seriously injured the previous night, so Verian was reluctant to ask him. However, she felt very anxious.

"Where would he be now?"

"He should be in Dublin."

Verian insisted on going to Dublin. Even though Serene wanted to go with her, she could not leave Wilson alone due to his injuries.

Therefore, Verian headed to Dublin on her own.

Ireland was still peaceful, so she should not have a problem traveling alone.

Heaton rushed to Rome from Dublin.

Kush had been trying to call Verian, but her phone was switched off.

"Boss, Madam's phone is still switched off. Could anything have happened to her?"

Even though Heaton was usually calm and collected, he almost panicked at that moment. There were terrorists in Rome, and if she had run into them...

"Call Wilson immediately!"

"Yes, sir."

The cell signal was still terrible in Rome. The phone call was fragmented.

Kush had a challenging time with that before finally, he managed to call Wilson.

However, the things that Wilson told him…

"Boss, Madam had flown to Dublin. It happened a few hours ago."

Heaton was speechless.

Well, as long as she was completely fine!

It was already night time when Verian arrived in Dublin.

The temperature was relatively low since it was spring and the cold breeze blew at night. Verian did not wear too many layers of clothing, so she tried to hug her fur coat tightly. She was still cold, and her teeth chattered.

She had not stopped trying to call Heaton the moment she reached the airport.

However, Heaton's phone was switched off.

She was anxious and cold; she felt like crying.

There were no terrorist attacks in Dublin, and the cell reception towers were not destroyed, so why could she not reach him?

She would be lying if she said that she was not afraid of being alone in a foreign land at night.

She sat in the airport for a really long time and spent a lot of time calling until her phone was almost dead. Hence, she decided to spend a night in a hotel and continue to call Heaton the next morning.

However, the moment she stepped out of the airport, a local cat called her.

Verian tried to dodge and hide from that person. She panicked and started to mix up the languages.

"Stay the hell away from me! I'll call the cops if you don't stop catcalling me! Leave me alone!"

The person grabbed her arm and was about to pull her into a cab. Verian panicked as she screamed and yelled for help. However, none of the other locals wanted to help the Asian lady.

"Let go of me! Let me go!"

Verian flailed and kicked the man, but it did not stop him. He was about to shove her into a cab. Suddenly, Kust spotted Verian. He had trailed behind Heaton as they stepped out of the airport.

"Boss, it's Madam!"

Kush immediately rushed toward her and pushed the local man aside. Then he pinned the man down on the ground.

Verian saw Heaton the moment she turned around!

She immediately rushed toward him.

He still has Verian in his arms, so she picked up the card and slid it into the power slot before the entire room lit up.

"Alright, move forward, right, on your right."

Heaton placed her on the bed. He chuckled and said, "Madam Fudd, don't you think it's a little inappropriate for you to have a blind man wander around?"

"Oops, my bad."

Heaton held her slim hand as he knelt in front of her. Then he started to lecture her. "There are some things I didn't get to say earlier because your emotions were a mess…"

Before he could finish, Verian immediately covered his mouth and said, "Heaton Fudd, don't you dare lecture me!"

She was pregnant, and Heaton could not lay a finger on her, so she was bold enough to talk back at him.

Heaton pulled her hand away and said, "You know what I was about to say?"

"Of course, I know. You're going to lecture me."

"How could I..."

The man got up and sat next to her before he carried her onto his lap.

"You're bold enough to go to Rome after terrorist attacks? Do you have a deathwish, hmm?"

"I was worried about you… I won't do it again next time."

Verian stared at his handsome face before she said, "If anything like this were to happen again, I would do the exact same thing. What would we do if anything were to happen to you? Me, Little Jelly Bean, and the baby in my belly."

"Oh, so now you remember that you're pregnant?"

"But I'm completely fine, aren't I? I did not lose a single strand of hair."

Heaton could not be bothered to lecture her since nothing would go through her head. So, he only needed to keep her in his sight. That was the best solution to deal with her.

The man carried her onto the bed. "After flying between these different countries, I am completely exhausted. Take a nap with me."

The man closed his eyes as Verian toyed with his stiff, spiky hair. She whispered, "Don't we need to take a shower first?"

"We'll take a shower after our nap."

Verian's heart jerked. He must be exhausted that his germaphobic nature could not even compel him to take a shower.

She turned around and leaned against his chest as she listened to his strong heartbeat. All of her panic and anxiety immediately faded away; she felt exceptionally safe.
