Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 294

Serene went to have a look at Ward Thirteen when it was the time for her rounds to check the wards.

She did not knock on the door and simply walked in without thinking. As such, she accidentally witnessed the lovey-dovey scene of two people kissing in the ward right in front of her.

Heaton was hugging Verian intimately while kissing her...

They were kissing passionately and fiercely.

She was stunned temporarily and did not know what kind of expression to show or how to respond to the scene. Suddenly, someone grabbed her arm as she was swiftly pulled out from the ward by a strong force.

The ward door closed once again.

Wilson furrowed his brows and glared at her. “You have to knock before you enter the ward, didn’t anyone teach you that?”

Serene was at a loss for words.

There were so many patients coming to and from the hospital every day. If she had to knock on each door every single time, it would waste so much time!

Wilson stood in front of her and watched disapprovingly. His face was stern and had an expression like he was attempting to educate another person who only did silly things.

Serene recalled the scene she had just seen and her face blushed inadvertently.

This was because she had...not experienced such a passionate and yearning kiss before.

Although she had dated Chainer for three years, the most intimate things they had done were holding hands and cheek pecks when they were together. Furthermore, she and Chainer were in a long-distance relationship when they were both in university and seldom saw each other. There was one time when Serene had excitedly ran to S University to meet Chainer was during the start of their school’s winter break. That night in S City, Chainer had proposed to spend the night together in the hotel room.

Serene fidgeted for almost half a day then before finally making a call to her mother. Her mother immediately and sternly admonished her over the phone.

Although she was a tad naughty and playful, Serene had always been an obedient child since young.

In the end, she did not have the courage to consummate her relationship with Chainer in the hotel room. She had been much younger as compared to now. That night, they asked the hotel for two rooms rather than sharing one. Because of this, there was no chance of them even sleeping together on the same bed.

Although her family’s financial situation was average, her mother was very stern in her education and upbringing since she had been little.

So when she knew she had lost her virginity to Wilson, she was extremely sad and unhappy.

However, Wilson had, of course, not noticed that she was down that day. Serene was not that open-minded to the point that she could pretend nothing had happened after a one-night stand and go on with their respective lives normally.

The man in front of her was Wilson Jarret—her supervisor and the hospital’s internship teacher. He was not someone who she could simply offend at any time.

Hence, Serene chose to cower in safety to try to forget the sequence of events, pretending nothing had happened between them.

She had managed, and was able to successfully pretend nothing had happened. At least, from the looks of it, Wilson had already forgotten and had not uttered a word about that night’s events.

She gulped down her saliva and spoke embarrassedly, “Master, I’ll continue to check the other wards.”

Damn it! Of all places and of all times, why did Verian and Heaton have to so kiss intimately in the ward! Their kiss was so passionate that both their bodies had tangled together so indecently!

Serene silently complained about them in her heart and turned her head to leave. However, she was pulled back by Wilson.

“Master, do you have any more instructions?” Serene gave him a pitiful and flattering gaze.

Wilson’s expression was deadpan, so no one could decipher the emotions from his calm face. “I’ll send you home this weekend.”

“It’s all right. I can go back by taking public transport.”

The man obviously felt dissatisfied and unhappy with her rejection. He creased his brown slightly in response. “I heard your house is at Clear Water Town?”

Serene nodded. “Yes, taking the bus from this city to my house will not take long. I can reach in around an hour.”

Unexpectedly, Wilson impassively said, “I am not sending you home on purpose. I have a relative at Clear Water Town and would like to visit him this weekend.”

When Serene heard about this, her crescent-shaped bright eyes became wider and brighter. “Really? Master, please give me a ride! If it’s a private car ride, I’ll be able to reach home in half an hour!”

Wilson sneered at her. “Didn’t you steadfastly say that you didn’t want to just now?”

“I’m just worried about burdening you...”

Serene happily thought about it. If there was an opportunity for a car ride, she would be dumb to not grab the chance.

Wilson coolly slid both hands into the pockets of his white medical robe. As he turned around to leave, the corner of his mouth curved upward uncontrollably. He had successfully tricked her.

Verian passed her some snacks. “Here, have these!”

Serene was not shy at all, taking all the snacks without hesitation. She then neatly stuffed them into the big pockets of her white medical gown.

“Oh yes! I’m going home this weekend. My mom’s still not aware that I’ve broken up with Chainer. She wanted me to bring Chainer home to eat dinner together. What do you think I should do?”

Verian frowned slightly. It had been quite some time but Serene and Doctor Jarret were still not dating each other yet?

Verian was slightly surprised that Serene had not confessed her breakup to her mom. “You broke up with Chainer a long time ago. You better be honest with her.”

Serene was dispirited. “I don’t dare tell my mom. If I tell her, my mom will surely think that it was due to me. Wouldn’t that be finding fault with myself? Whenever anything bad happens to me, my mom will always feel that I caused the problems on my own. Is she really my biological mom?”

“Then what are you planning to do?”

“I’ve not thought of a plan yet. Perhaps I’ll say that Chainer is very busy with work lately and has to accompany clients so he is unable to join for dinner.”

Verian nodded in agreement. “Yes, that reason is solid enough. However, if your mom asks you to bring Chainer home to dinner again next week, what will you do?”

Serene answered, “I’ll say that I’m not free as I have to work overtime on weekends.”

“How about the week after that?”

Serene was unable to answer.

Heaton, who was working in silence, suddenly voiced out, “The most basic way of solving this matter is for you to bring a new boyfriend back home. With that, your mom will definitely not ask the question again.”

Serene was stupefied. “President Fudd, are you joking with me?”

“I’m not.”

Serene felt dumbfounded to the core.

Why did she feel that such a sensible person like Heaton had started becoming silly and nonsensical in his thoughts after being together with Verian for some time? He could even think of such a nonsense solution...

However, when she thought of it deeply, it was actually quite a good solution, no?
