Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 154

Heaton did not answer immediately. He just carried her all the way into the master bedroom before pressing her down and said in a low voice, "It's rare to have personal time together. If I don't do anything tonight, I will feel sorry for myself."

"... Are you men really thinking about this all day long?"

Verian blushed until her little face could drip blood, but her hands still grasped the collar of his shirt. As if it was unintentional, she gently touched his collar. Heaton grasped her little hand and commanded in a low voice, "Help me unfasten it."

...

Verian lay lazily in his arms, fingering his chest casually. "I'm so hungry."

Heaton frowned slightly and caught her moving hand. He asked, "What did you eat tonight?"

Verian looked at him pitifully. "A bowl of instant noodles."

When the man heard about instant noodles, his face sank slightly. "Why did you eat instant noodles again?"

"Little Jelly Bean is not here, and you were not here as well. I saw that the fridge was empty, so I went to the convenience store outside the mansion to buy a pack of instant noodles. It was delicious and convenient."

There was just a disadvantage of instant noodles. It was easy to get hungry after eating, especially when she needed to do 'vigorous exercise'.

Heaton lowered his head to kiss her, as he moved to get up. Verian held him down. "Where are you going?"

"Aren't you hungry?"

"But there is no more stuff at home to make food."

"The fresh supermarket downstairs is open 24 hours a day. I'll buy some ingredients and come back."

Verian's heart was warmed. What immediately came after that was guilt and anxiety. "Forget it. I won't be hungry when I go to bed. It's so late now. After buying them, you still have to cook. It's too much trouble."

Heaton remained silent, but had already gotten out of bed and put on his clothes. He left the master bedroom simply saying, "Wait here obediently."

Verian looked at the bracelet on the cabinet.

Was she really right to do this?

...

When Verian heard the sound of cooking in the kitchen downstairs, she casually put on Heaton's shirt and went downstairs.

The warm orange lighting in the kitchen casted the tall and sturdy figure of a man.

Heaton, who had always been cold, seemed much warmer at this moment.

The autumn night outside was as cold as water, but the inside of the house was very warm. Verian walked over and hugged his strong waist from behind. She pressed her small face into his back. "What are you cooking? Smells good!"

"I'm making tomato and egg noodles."

Verian tilted her head to look up at him from behind. "Heaton, has anyone ever said that you look more handsome when you cook than when you work?"

Quirking his eyebrows, Heaton looked quite disapproving.

When the water in the pot was boiling, Heaton added in soba noodles. After covering the pot with a lid, he pulled over the little woman who was holding him from behind to the front and hugged her.

The man lowered his head and kissed the top of her hair.

As they were kissing, the condition started spiraling out of control...

The noodles in the pot were boiling and were about to overflow. Verian struggled and quickly reminded him. "The noodles are about to be overcooked."

Heaton finally let her go.

Fortunately, the noodles were not completely overcooked and did not taste too bad.

Verian took the noodles and ate them sparingly. She happily ate because the food was very delicious. Heaton raised his hand and caressed the top of her hair. "Is it delicious?"

Verian twirled a great amount of noodles around her chopsticks and placed them before Heaton's thin lips. "You can taste what you cooked yourself."

As soon as Little Jelly Bean entered the mansion, she rushed over to hug Verian. "Monty, yesterday grandpa said that you and daddy moved to a new home. I thought you both don't want me anymore!"

Verian petted her little head with love and said, "Little fool, daddy will pick you up and bring you here to stay with us tonight. Are you happy?"

"Yes, definitely I’m happy!"

Little Jelly Bean handed Verian the small water bottle hanging around her neck. She frowned and said. "Monty, Madam Leah insisted on pouring me a large bottle of grapefruit juice this morning, saying that drinking this is good for my health but I don't like it. Can you help me drink it?"

Verian stared lightly at her with a smile. "I can drink it for you. But, I'll give you some milk, okay?"

"Okay."

...

After Verian arrived at Yash, she gave the completed draft to Yanni and returned the bracelet to him.

Yanni glanced at her wrist and said, "I think this bracelet is suitable for you. I'll give it to you."

"What is the meaning behind this bracelet? Why did Heaton react when he saw it?"

Yanni chuckled lightly. "What do you think?"

Verian frowned. "Is this bracelet also related to Sam?"

"Back then, the gift that Heaton gave Sam was this bracelet for her 18th birthday. Of course, he'd react when he saw it."

Verian squeezed her palms. "Yanni, what do you want to do exactly? How did Sam die? Why do you keep setting yourself against Heaton? Also, what is the relationship between Sam, you, and Heaton?"

"Verian, you ask me so many questions all at once. You seem to care a lot about the relationship between Sam and Heaton, don't you?"

Verian's moist eyes trembled. She bit her lips as she said, "I don’t really care that much. I just think it's easier to act according to circumstances after I figure out his relationship with Sam."

Yanni got up from the swivel chair and walked toward her. He lowered his head and reminded her in her ear, word by word. "Verian, did you really fall in love with Heaton?"
