With the ring in between her fingers, Samantha passed it to Shayne and said excitedly, “Shayne, I’ve helped you find the ring!”
Previously, the ring was accidentally lost when Samantha accidentally bumped into Shayne in the building behind the mansion.
Samantha has searched for it amongst the grass many times but to no avail.
On that weekend, she came back to look for it again, undeterred. It turned out that she had found it by the drain. “Do you know how lucky I was? When I found the ring, it was almost flushed into the drain and never came back. Thank goodness I had fast reflexes and picked it up once more.”
Shayne looked at the ring in silence. He showed no emotions whatsoever.
Samantha pulled Shayne’s huge hands over and put the ring onto his palm. She smiled and comforted him, “If the ring could be found, I’m sure you can get Yanny back. Brother, good luck!”
Shayne looked at the ring in his palm. He chuckled with slight despair and said, “Samantha, I’ve already signed the divorce papers. I’ve decided to divorce Yanny. In the future, she’s not your sister-in-law anymore.”
“Why? Shayne, previously you thought that Yanny had died but now you know that she’s still alive. Why are you giving up? Even if Yanny can’t forgive you now, how about next year? Or the year after that? Or the year after that one? She’ll forgive you one day.”
“She won’t. She’s exhausted. Me constantly appearing in front of her will only remind her of the sad things in the past. I love her so I do not want to add to her burden. This time, I won’t force her. I’ll do whatever she wishes.”
Shayne passed the ring back to Samantha and said, “It’s pointless getting the ring back. Giving it to me will only remind me of her. Do whatever you want with it.”
After that, Shayne walked back into the house,
Samantha held the ring in her hands, then purposely said out loud to Shayne’s back, “Then I’ll just sell it!”
Shayne did not look back nor did he say anything to stop her. It was as if he silently agreed.
Samantha bit her lip and looked at the ring. Her head ached a little. “He really doesn’t want it?”
She decided to return the ring to its owner.
…
It was 11 at night at an abandoned old chemical plant on the outskirts of town.
Cara was in black, wearing a black baseball cap. With a security case in her hand, she got down from the car. While paying attention to her back, she quickly walked into the chemical plant.
The other person was a buff, tall man. Both his hands were tucked in his jacket pocket. He stood there waiting for a long time.
“Miss Cara, you’re finally here. I thought you would renege on your words. I was just thinking that if you didn’t appear in another hour, I would go to find President Shayne.”
“Stop blackmailing me! If Shayne found out about this, do you think you’d still be able to walk around?”
Cara threw the security case annoyingly at the man. “Take the money and go away!”
The man took over the security case, turned around, and put it on an old operating machine. He was about to open the security case and check on the money.
With a knife in her hand, Cara violently stabbed the man from behind!
The man wailed terribly. He tried to struggle and fought with Cara.
“Bloody b*tch, how dare you trick me!”
The man clasped hold of Cara’s arm and wanted to take away the knife in her hand. Cara grabbed the knife and stabbed his shoulders once more!
The man hugged Cara and fell to the ground. They were entangled and fighting for their lives.
Right at that moment, Henry brought a few bodyguards and rushed in. They pried Cara and the man apart!
Cara was stunned. She glared fiercely at the man. “You joined up with Shayne Jinn and tricked me?”
The man has been stabbed twice. He was slowly losing consciousness.
Henry ordered, “Send this man to the hospital immediately. He has to be alive. If he died, no one would be able to answer Master Shayne.”
Cara was being held firmly by two bodyguards. She squirmed and yelled angrily, “Let me go!”
Henry looked at her condescendingly, expressionless. “If there is anything you want to say, explain it to Master Shayne!”
“I’ve nothing to say!”
It was only half a hair's breadth away from where the dart would hit her ear.
Cara looked at the dart from the corner of her eye. She was scared half to death and almost wet herself.
Swoosh!
Another dart!
It accurately landed half a centimeter above Cara’s head.
Cara lost it and yelled, “Shayne Jinn! This is illegal! This is kidnapping and intentional harm!”
“Oh, is it? Then I should make this crime even more real. If not, I would feel wrongly accused.”
Shayne was playing with the darts in his hands. His dark eyes were as cold as the demigod Ashura, his smile bone-chilling.
The next second, the extremely sharp dart punctured Cara’s wrist.
“Ah!” A wail of pain sounded out from Cara.
The dart violently and accurately punctured Cara’s wrist. It went in about three-quarters deep, almost puncturing through her entire wrist.
The scene was bloody.
Even Henry did not expect that Shayne would really shoot the darts at Cara’s body.
Shayne’s maliciousness did not elicit any emotion for him whatsoever. He was at the point of extreme hostility, being reckless with life.
If Cara still did not tell the truth, Henry was afraid the darts would really make Cara miserable.
Shayne had clearly lost his patience.
