Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 1119

The black Bugatti came to a screeching halt as it stopped by the edge of the sidewalk.

Shayne stared at Yanny with a warm and burning gaze as he said, "Speak, what kind of a heart-to-heart talk do you want to tell me?"

Yanny took a deep breath and finally mustered up the courage to speak. " I know that if I was the one who personally pushed people away, I don't have the right to say that I miss them in my entire lifetime. However, I always used to think that if I could be your equal, perhaps our relationship would be stronger and last longer."

Shayne replied emotionlessly, "So you didn't even bother to call me once."

Yanny knew how horrible she truly was.

"I'm really sorry. I missed you dearly too while I was in Los Angeles every day. I didn't return home to visit you and didn't even call you once because I was afraid that if I did, I wouldn’t be able to hold on and actually decide to give up on everything just to find you. If I did that, all my hard work and efforts would be for nothing. However, it's my fault for not providing you with enough sense of security in our relationship."

"It's not that our relationship was awful. It's me that’s awful."

Yanny repeatedly said that she was awful and the tears that stopped earlier started to flow again.

"I made a wish on my last birthday. Do you want to know what it was?" she asked.

Shayne pouted his lips and replied in a neutral tone, "It has nothing to do with me. I don't want to hear about it."

Anyone that was so used to getting hurt would often pretend to act coldly toward things they were often excited about as a way to protect themselves.

Yanny stared at him with an intensely loving gaze in the dark car as she said, "My wish was very simple. I wanted a relationship that lasts till marriage. I was talking about me and you."

Shayne was stunned while his heart throbbed uncontrollably.

Everything Yanny said earlier felt like it had fallen on deaf ears.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Shayne registered her in and consulted the doctor to have her temperature taken. She had a mild fever and it was not a huge problem. She would not be required to have any infusions. The doctor prescribed her some flu medicine and anti-inflammatory patches.

As they left the hospital and headed over to the basement parking, they entered the car and just as Shayne was about to drive away, Yanny stared at him without blinking as she said, "I do have a fever but I meant the things I said earlier. I was being serious."

Shayne did not look at her, simply pausing slightly when he started the car but he never stopped. He said, "Yanny, you don't have to feel bad for me because I waited for you for two years. I hate sympathy."

Yanny stared intensely at him as she said, "I didn't feel bad for you. I just...wanted to marry you."

Her soft voice immediately struck Shayne's heart.
