A clear silhouette of a tall man could be seen standing at a corner of a man made brick house.
A child ran over, lit a firework and threw it next to Shayne's foot. It exploded.
The child was laughing mischievously with his mouth covered after pranking an adult. However, Shayne was completely unfazed and all he did was stare intensely at the nearby couple.
This was not the first time the child had seen Shayne. The child had also thrown a lit firework by Shayne's foot last year and Shayne was furious by it. He even wanted to grab the child by his collar.
The child seemed a little defeated after noticing Shayne's lack of reaction.
"Hey bad uncle, why aren't you mad?"
"Do you want me to hit you?" Shayne asked with an emotionless look.
The child scoffed and said, "Now that Sister Yanny is with another man, you're no longer going to hit me anymore? Why are you trying to pretend to be the good guy anyway?"
Shayne's eyes looked very sorrowful as he simply scoffed and said, "I am not in the mood to hit you but if you really want me to cripple you, you can continue to annoy me."
The child was actually terrified when he heard that Shayne would cripple him. However, the child forced himself to stay calm and act tough as he glanced toward the same direction at the nearby couple by the car before saying, "Hmph, let me just say something now. A beautiful goddess like Sister Yanny will never marry a bad guy like you who'll bully a child."
Shayne scoffed as a dissatisfied glint could be seen flashing across his eye. He said, "Do you think that scummy man is better?"
"Well, it doesn't matter as long as he's better than you!"
"Idiot!" It was unsure if Shayne was scolding the child or Samuel or if he actually just wanted to vent.
Shayne frowned and exclaimed in a slightly impatient tone, "Hey kid, why don't you go on your way and play by yourself. Believe me, I'll hit you if you continue to bother me again."
The child did not leave as he hugged his arms and imitated Shaye by scoffing just like him. He said, "You absolutely like Sister Yanny, don't you? Since Sister Yanny is so beautiful, if you don't work harder, she will be snatched away real soon."
"Have your mother not taught you to stay out of adult affairs as a child?" Shayne ignored the child.
"You're the child! If I ever like a girl, I will no doubt rush forward to make sure she doesn't end up with someone else. I won't ever be as useless as you."
"Hmph, what do you know since you're so useful anyway?" Shayne mocked him.
The child was furious so he threw another lit firework at Shayne's foot which resulted in a loud bang. It was so loud that both Samuel and Yanny looked toward the direction of the explosion.
Shayne hastily hid behind a pillar.
Yanny noticed the child and shouted at him from a distance, "Hey Bubbles, why aren't you home when it's already this late? You know, your mother will scold you later."
Bubbles took a glance at Shayne before raising his head and spoke to Yanny, "I'll go home right away, Sister Yanny. Have fun with your date!"
Yanny was stunned as she could not help but laugh at Bubble's remark.
After Bubbles shot an ugly look at Shayne who was hiding behind a pillar, he turned around and ran off.
When it was getting late, Yanny told Samuel, "Thanks for visiting me but it's already getting late. You should head back home."
Samuel was in no hurry at all. He knew that he should not push his luck on Yanny, so he said, "Alright, you can head back first. I'll leave after I watch you enter your house."
Yanny smiled and did not say anything else as she waved at Samuel before turning around and walking back toward the junction.
Samuel was watching her leave the entire time.
Just as Yanny was about to enter her house, Bubbles came running over through the snow and bumped into her before he could stop.
Yanny reached out and held onto the child as she said, "Why aren't you home yet, Bubbles?"
Bubbles raised his head to look at Yanny before saying, "Sister Yanny, there's an idiot waiting for you the entire time at the entrance to our town!"
Yanny was stunned and somehow thought about something before hastily rushing over to the town's entrance.
However, when she finally arrived with Bubbles, all that was left on the filthy snow was a few obvious tyre streaks.
The car was gone and so was the person.
Yanny stood at the town's entrance for a good long while as she was unsure if the so-called 'idiot' Bubbles was referring to was actually Shayne.
"Hey Bubbles, who was that idiot you referred to?"
However, since this movie was scheduled as a spring release, it would still have to maintain this result for the following few days. As long as the reviews were positive, ticket sales were no longer as important anymore.
The production team's decision to have an artistic film premiere alongside other Spring releases was obviously a gamble. They were betting on word of mouth and reviews alone to boost ticket sales.
Larry's projects were often very well produced, so even if it was a small film project, it would still attract the market.
On the first morning of New Year's day, aside from Spring Festival posts being the most viral topic, the movie, 'Black and White' and 'Female Lead Yanny' were also trending topics online.
Yanny's amazing looks complimented with her excellent acting skills had garnered nothing but high praises. Moreover, she had also gained countless thirsty male fans in a single night.
Yanny was like a piece of diamond. Her stunning glimmers made it very hard for people to look away from her.
Although Shayne had ordered them to cut off all her sponsors and work, due to the popularity of the film, a few sponsors and sugar daddies still came looking for her just a couple days later.
The truth was, Shayne had no intention in completely hindering Yanny's career. He was only speaking out of anger. Shayne was also willing to overlook the excellent sponsors and resources Spring secretly provided Yanny with. Shayne's ignorance seemed as if he had forgotten about Yanny's existence completely.
The Spring Festival soon went by in a flash and the movie, 'Black and White' had gained 1.5 billion bucks in ticket sales. However, 1.5 billion was not considered a high box office sales in the spring selection lineup. That was because larger projects sold at almost two billion bucks at the box office.
Despite that, earning 1.5 billion for an artistic film was already considered a high profit since the most important part was the positive reviews. It appeared that all of the main awards might be won by 'Black and White' that year.
Smaller projects usually only cared about winning awards.
Yanny's cold and attractive looks had amassed quite a number of followers online.
Yanny had become famous.
After the Spring Festival was over, Yanny was extremely busy with all of the work Spring had lined up for her.
It seemed that Yanny no longer had the time and effort to continue dealing with the conflict she had with Shayne.
Yanny no longer cared about who the so-called, 'idiot' was that waited for her at the town's entrance that night.
It seemed that Shayne had slowly started to exit Yanny's life.
Yanny thought that their relationship with each other might have already ended.
