Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 1076

Yanny received a phone call from Samuel.

"Hey Yanny, I've suppressed the viral news already. I'm really sorry for causing you unnecessary problems. Please let me know if there's anything you need me to help you with."

"Thanks but there isn't anything I need help with at the moment."

Samuel remained silent for a brief moment before saying, "I… won't return to London for now. If you want to meet me, you can look for me anytime you want."

Yanny did not say much to him as she only remained silent.

"The truth is Yanny, I only came back just because I really wanted to spend New Year’s Eve with you. Can you please give me a chance?"

Samuel was very blunt in his question, so Yanny pouted her lips and said, "Samuel, we truly are over."

Samuel sounded obviously depressed through the phone as he asked, "Can we be friends then?"

Samuel's request was not too much to ask, so Yanny could not bring herself to refuse him.

After the phone call ended, Yanny noticed the letters by the entrance, so she grabbed them and opened them one by one on the table before carefully reading through them.

It seemed that everything written in the letter was sugar coated with extremely sweet talk.

'So that's why Samuel returned home so suddenly.'

However, although the letter was filled with sweet talk, they were not cringey at all and anyone would think that it was from her with a single glance.

It seemed that whoever forged the letters understood her personality quite well.

Although there were plenty of letters, not too much were written in the letters and after spending quite some time reading through them, Yanny still was unable to tell those letters apart from her actual handwriting.

It seemed that whoever imitated her did an amazing job in copying her handwriting as it was uncanny to hers. It resembled her actual writing that even Yanny had a hard time telling them apart.

Just as Yanny found herself stuck with no leads, her eyes glimmered brightly when she read the final letter.

The way the word ‘sincerely’ was spelled in the letter was correct.

However, Yanny had a habit of spelling, 'sincerely' wrong. She would often spell it weirdly.

The person imitating her clearly did not know about the little habit of hers.

Thus, Yanny picked up the letters and stormed off to the Jacob family home.

Yanny did not enter the house when she arrived at the Jacob family home. She only entered the courtyard, stood by a tree and scanned the area silently for a brief moment.

When the old house keeper noticed Yanny, he cheerfully greeted her, "Oh Madam, you're back. It's been so long and you look more beautiful the older you become!"

Quincy was known to be a gentle person when she was still alive and every single servant in the Jacob family home highly respected her. However, after Lina officially married into the family, she laid off most of the servants hired by Quincy. Despite that, it seemed that the old housekeeper was truly competent in his job that made him stay behind for the family.

Lina was borderline abusive to Yanny when she was young and immature in understanding how the world worked. It seemed that the old housekeeper was the one who secretly helped her several times before in the past,

Thus, Yanny had always been grateful for the old housekeeper.

"Oh I won't be entering, Uncle Johnny. I actually came over today because I have some things that I need to ask Cara about. Can you do me a favor and tell her to come out?"

"Yanny! This happens to be the Jacob family home! How dare you hit me!"

Yanny chuckled coldly as she exclaimed, "Do you want to get Wilson out to stand up for you as well? I'll give him a piece of my mind too if you call him out as well. The fault is with the father for not discipling his daughter well, you know. It's his incompetence that resulted in your horrible personality."

"You… you're basically a shameless scum! He's your father too, you know!"

Yanny smiled as a cold menacing grin could be seen behind her smile. She said, "My father has long been dead."

Yanny then inched closer to Cara while she pressed the military knife onto Cara's cheeks before lowering her head and whispered into Cara's ear in a clear voice, "If you dare do anything this underhanded again behind my back, I won't let you off the hook with just a simple slap alone. You know fully well just how bold I can be. Well, I might actually cut your pretty little cheeks with this knife too."

Cara was wide eyed as she stared fearfully with her trembling gaze at Yanny's sadistic smiling face. She was terrified at that moment since it felt as if Yanny might actually slash her face the very next second with the sharp knife that was pressed against her cheeks, leaving behind bloody cuts on her face.

Cara was terrified and furious at the same time as she dug her fingernails into her palms while she exclaimed in a shaky voice, "I'm warning you, Yanny, this is the Jacob family home. If you dare do anything erratic, my parents will never let you go when they find out about it."

"If I were you, I won't be trying to act tough right now since this knife might accidentally cut your face."

"What exactly do you want, Yanny?"

Yanny tapped Cara's face with the knife as she said, "This will be my first and last warning to you. If you dare do any more underhanded and petty actions, I'm not sure just what I'll do to you in my manic episode. As you know, I'm insane. Well you should know since day one that I am not to be trifled with when you and your mother moved into the Jacob family home when I was eight back then. The first day you guys moved in, you guys wanted to cut this tree down and I was capable of threatening Wilson with suicide just for that. If I'm not even afraid to die, do you think I'd be afraid of murdering you?"

"You're threatening me now!"

Yanny cracked a carefree smile as she said, "Do you think I'd be afraid of you calling the cops on me for threatening you in the Jacob family home? Cara, why don't you go ahead and try doing petty things to me again. I'll show you just how hellish I can make life for you."

Yanny suddenly tilted her knife and Cara actually thought that Yanny was seriously going to cut her. This terrified her so much that her face went pale.

However, Yanny was merely chuckling calmly before keeping her knife away as she said, "You're quite talented in imitating my handwriting but you never knew that I have the tendency to misspell, 'sincerely'. You, on the other hand, spelled it correctly. Well, only you know the truth of the whole ordeal. If you want to continue living this peaceful life that you stole, I suggest that you behave or else, even if it costs me my life, I will drag you and the Jacob family down along with me."
