Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 1026

At the dinner table the very next morning.

When Yanny was heading out to her audition, she suddenly recalled the favor Cindy asked from her.

"Hey Shayne, do you know Cameron Yaeger?"

Shayne paused while holding onto his cutlery as he raised his brows to look at her. His gaze felt menacing as he said, "I didn't expect a little brat like you to be this greedy. Not only do you want me, but you also want Cameron as well?"

Yanny was speechless as she thought to herself, 'I'm innocent and besides, I can't handle both of you at the same time!'

"I wouldn't dare," Yanny replied with a cheerful giggle.

Shayne replied, "It just means that you have the intention to be greedy but lack the courage to actually do so."

"No. I don't," Yanny said as she pulled out a magazine with Cameron on the cover from her bag. "My best friend, Cindy, absolutely loves Cameron and has been a fan for five to six years now. She just wants his personal autograph."

Yanny then handed the magazine over to him.

Shayne accepted the magazine and took a quick glance at the man on the magazine's cover before saying, "Wow, he looks horrible. I just don't understand what appeal he has to attract so many female fans. Say, does he look better than me?"

Yanny thought to herself, “That’s a tricky question to answer.'

Yanny cracked an awkward and nervous smile as she remained silent.

Shayne frowned, raised his head, and spoke in quite the hostile manner, "I asked you a question."

"Well… You both are quite handsome," Yanny replied as she thought to herself, 'This answer should be pretty safe, right?'

Shayne scoffed at her as he said, "That’s quite a polite reply."

Yanny rubbed her neck and spoke in an innocent manner, "Well, in all honesty, I didn't exactly get a good look at Cameron's appearance. Let me have another look. Shayne."

Shayne handed the magazine over to her with a bitter expression.

Yanny took a cautious look at it before saying, "Ah...so that's what he looks like. Oh, he's pretty average looking. Cindy sure has poor taste."

Yanny raised his head and asked Shayne after she gave her comment, "Hey, Shayne, is this man's acting really that good?"

Yanny's gaze looked sincere and did not seem to be lying at all. It made Shayne very reluctant to insult his best friend.

The man spoke in a serious tone, "He's alright. He's received the best actor award before."

That was the first time Yanny had ever heard about that as she nodded respectfully and said, "So that's why. Well, I guess he really has to rely fully on his acting skills to receive the award since he doesn't really have the looks for it."

Shayne was speechless.

'I don't think Cameron actually looks that bad. I mean, he's still my best friend.'

Yanny handed the magazine back to Shayne and started blinking repeatedly at him as she said, "Shayne, help me get his autograph, alright? My best friend absolutely adores him and even broke her leg at the crowded airport just to get a glimpse of him."

Cindy sneezed as she wondered who was cursing her at the moment.

Shayne asked, "What do you even call such an act?"

"Fan obsession."

Shayne said, "Man, she really is a fool. Cameron's career is pretty average to me. I'd much rather she's obsessed over me than him."

Yanny rested her chin on her hands and was literally beaming with joy as she said, "Let me be the one to obsess over you then, Shayne."

Shayne thought to himself, 'Whoa, who can resist such a power move."

In a high-profile private VIP room in a hotel.

Shayne entered with a magazine in hand. He noticed Cameron was wearing a black baseball cap and playing snooker alone when he entered.

Shayne approached him and tossed the magazine on the pool table as he scoffed and said, "Why are you even wearing a baseball cap in the middle of the night? Who the hell even knows who you are?"

Cameron was holding onto a pool cue with one hand while picking up the magazine with the other as he said, "Aren't I on the cover of this magazine? We grew up together and I never expected that your refusal to get married was due to you having a crush on me."

Shayne rolled his eyes at him as he said, "Do I really look like the kind of person that will turn gay just because you said so? Look, one of your fans asked me to help her get your autograph."

Cameron refused to sign it as he threw his pool cue aside, poured a glass of whiskey, and took a sip. "Which fan of mine is even able to get you to ask me for an autograph? It's really rare to meet someone with such a high profile, you know."

Cameron was grinning through his teeth.

"Samantha."

Cameron waved his hands around and said, "No, that doesn't sound right at all. She'd much rather have Rodney's autograph than mine."

The corners of Shayne's mouth twitched as he wondered if Samatha would actually fall in love with an old coot like Rodney.

"Are you signing it or not?"

Cameron grinned as he said, "I'm not signing it until you tell me who that person is."

Since Shayne was a shameless man, he felt no harm in admitting it, speaking up with a calm expression, "My woman's best friend."

Cameron scratched his ear and said, "Wait a second. What, who? Was it your girlfriend who likes me or was it her best friend? Or perhaps, the both of them like me at the same time?"

Yanny kept her phone away and entered her house in an exceptionally good mood.

When she went to her wardrobe, she noticed the Barbie dolls that were still in their boxes that Shayne bought for her yesterday.

Yanny laughed while she looked at the Barbie dolls and asked Cindy a question.

[Hey, do you want a Barbie doll?]

Cindy replied.

[I'm a grown adult woman, sister. I'd much rather you give me limited edition lipsticks and make-up than a Barbie doll.]

'Alright then.' Yanny decided to keep one for herself and donate the rest to orphanages.

When the delivery man came to collect the Barbie dolls, she received a phone call from Shayne.

"Hey, Shayne."

Shayne spoke in a carefree tone. "I got the autograph already. It's up to you when you're actually free to collect it."

Yanny was not in a hurry to get it so she said, "Just bring it along with you the next time you drop by my apartment."

Shayne raised his brows and spoke in a slightly hostile tone, "Are you the sugar mummy or am I the sugar daddy? Who am I to send things directly to you?"

Yanny was speechless as she wondered just how a grown man could act so petty.

Yanny could not be bothered to argue with him since she was afraid of unintentionally offending him again. "So what do you want, Shayne?"

Shayne rubbed his temples with his long fingers as he said, "You can come over to Luna Mansion right now to get it. Samatha is here tonight and wants to taste your cooking."

'Oh, so he wants me to cook for him.'

Yanny asked, "Do I get paid to cook for you then?"

She was even asking him with a serious tone.

Was he really not worth her time to drop by the Luna Mansion on her own accord?

Shayne scoffed and simply said, "Depends on my mood."

A series of beeping sounds could be heard through the phone after that… It seemed that Shayne had hung up on her.

Yanny was speechless.
