When they entered his study, Winson had a bitter look on his face while placing his arms behind his back as he said, "I've discussed with your Aunt Lina and we think that it's not safe for you to study all on your own overseas. You can forget about going to Oxford since it's not like there aren't any good universities in North City anyway. You're more than qualified to enter any universities in North City with your grades. There's not much of a difference studying in the top universities in North City in comparison to the ones overseas anyway."
Hillary was not disappointed as she already expected that Winson would not agree to her furthering her studies overseas.
Thus, Hillary bluntly asked, "Dad, if Cara was the one who received the offer letter, will you have agreed to letting her study abroad then?"
Winson was stunned as he raised his brows and said, "We're here to discuss about you, so why are you even bringing your own sister into this? Your sister is still two years away from her SAT exams."
The corners of Hillary's mouth twitched as she knew that avoiding the question meant that he would no doubt do it.
Hillary sniffled as she began to tear up. She opened her mouth but not a single word escaped her mouth.
Winson asked, "Is there anything that you're displeased with?"
Hillary glanced back and forth at him as she said, "You know, I always wonder if I was actually your biological daughter. You might not believe what I did but I once took both our hair samples for a DNA parental test. Why don't you guess what the results are?"
Winson stared at her with a confused look as he exclaimed, "What nonsense are you spouting!"
Hillary reached out to wipe her falling tears as she calmly said, "The results showed that we're both father and daughter. The DNA samples showed a ninety-nine percent match. However, why are you only kind to Cara, dad? You'd agree to anything Cara wants but you're so cruel to me."
Winson replied with a carefree tone, "Both you and Cara are my daughters and I treat both of you the same. You should help each other out in the future. You, as the older sister shouldn't really be jealous of your younger sister all the time. Why can't you come up with a reason in your heart to convince yourself to accept her?"
"When you brought me to a mall when I was little, I wanted a Barbie doll and it was only five hundred bucks. I begged you to buy it for me but you told me that it was just too expensive for a doll and I'll end up tossing it aside after playing with it for a few times. You told me that it would be a waste of money to buy it. However, Cara got a Barbie doll that was over a thousand bucks a few days later."
Winson felt a little guilty from being stared so intensely by Hillary. Winson looked away from her but she kept staring directly at him as she questioned him with a clear tone, "I want to know just how could you, as a father be this unfair to your own children?"
"Why are you like your mother? She's so stubborn as well and she needs to fight for everything!"
Hillary chuckled as she exclaimed in a cold tone, "You have no right to bring her up!"
Pure hatred was burning through the very bottoms of her eyes.
Winson laid on his back as he stared at the ceiling. He sighed and said, "I'm afraid Hillary will actually take her revenge out on me. The way she looked at me, those eyes were filled to the brim with hatred. If she's financially independent when she grows up, I'm afraid she'll be a threat to my company."
Lina replied, "That little brat, Hillary, is a vengeful person. Say, I think we should look for someone and have her marry that person just to keep her in check."
Winson's eyes glimmered as he asked, "An arranged marriage? But with who though?"
A malicious intent sprouted in Lina's heart as she said, "Do you remember President Lewis? His wife has been dead for over a year now and he has been looking for a younger spouse. President Lewis works in real estate and he's filthy rich. If Hillary was to marry him, she will have a stable life. What do you think?"
"President Lewis… President Lewis' age… is a little too old and not to mention, he's a lustful man."
"You know our family is nothing in comparison to President Lewis' family. If anyone's choosing, it'll be him. Besides, if Hillary was to marry someone powerful in North City, do you think she won't take her revenge on you?" Lina exclaimed as she glared at him, completely exposing his intentions.
Winson lamented in a deep tone, "I'll think about it…"
