Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 1001

In the living room of the Jacob family mansion.

Lina brewed a cup of tea for Winson as she cautiously said, "Hey Winson, Hillary managed to get herself into Oxford University. Are you really willing to allow her to study abroad?"

Winson was furious when Hillary was mentioned as he frowned and said, "If she continues to stubbornly go against her own family, I won't even spare a single penny for her. Unless… unless she repents for her sins, realizes her own mistakes and sincerely apologises to me, I won't have a problem spending money on her to further her studies in the United Kingdom. Although our family isn't as wealthy as the Jinn family, paying for her tuition fees abroad isn't a problem for us."

As Lina realized Winson's heart softening up, she complained intentionally, "Money isn't a problem and even though she isn't my own birth daughter, I always treated her as one since we've lived together for so many years now. I'd obviously be extremely happy with her achievements but…"

"But what?" Winson asked as he could tell that Lina was holding back her thoughts.

Lina explained, "Hillary hates me and it's not anything new anymore. Not to mention, she even told you that her mother's death was caused by Cara and I. This shows that she hasn't accepted me yet.

"She has harbored so much resentment toward her father and it's really obvious to tell that she doesn't want to stay in our home. I'm pretty sure that she only chose to study in England just to get away from us.

"It looks like she has no intention in studying in a calm and quiet environment, you know. I can see her strong burning hatred through her eyes and I'm afraid that when she succeeds in life, she will take revenge on us."

Winson's eyes trembled as he turned around to look at Lina. He seemed to be a little unconvinced as he said, "I don't think she will, right? She's still our daughter and I'm her biological father. Could she possibly take her revenge out on me?"

"Hillary is a stubborn and strong child. You know, it's entirely possible for her to take her revenge on us if she goes too far. If she's successful in her studies and as a result become more powerful, I'm not afraid of her doing anything to me, to be honest. Instead, I'm extremely worried about her single-handedly tearing down our family!"

Lina made some very convincing points that Winson felt the need to keep his guard up against Hilary.

Since Hillary was known to be stubborn and rebellious, if she actually succeeded in the future, it would be extremely possible for her to take revenge on the Jacob family and his company.

If anyone harbored that much hatred of being wronged in the past, it was within reason for anyone to think about vengeance. Those vengeful feelings would only be amplified when it was against a small businessman like Winson.

Winson was lost in his thoughts as he said, "What should we do now?"

"Well… I think we should have her give up on her dreams to study in Oxford. We'll just have her study locally here in North City. By the time she graduates, we'll get her a regular nine to five job. After that, we can arrange an appropriate marriage for her. That way, she won't be able to act too far out of line and not to mention, she'll have a stable life in the future as well. What do you think?"

Winson nodded and said, "You're absolutely right. She's just a girl and she shouldn't be studying abroad without anyone to keep an eye out for her in the first place. If she studies and works under my supervision, she'll live a very stable life."

An arrogant glint flashed across Lina's eyes after convincing Winson to do her bidding as she said, "So, it's decided then?"

"Yeah, it's decided. I never wanted her to study abroad in the first place anyway."

"Just talk and be nice to Hillary when she returns, okay? Don't infuriate her anymore than she already is. You know fully well just how explosive of a temper Hillary has. So please, just be nice to her. As long as she treats you as her father, she'll have to listen to you."

Winso replied, "Everything can be on the table as long as she's truly sorry for what she has done."

Hillary had gone back to Shayne's private mansion, the Luna Mansion.

As the black Bentley slowly entered the mansion, it parked on top of a field of lusciously green grass.

Shayne gave her a teasing stare before getting out of the car.

Hillary on the other hand seemed lost as she remained in the car.

Shayne decided to tap on her window as he spoke to the person in the car, "Come on now, don't you think it's a little too late to act so nervously now that we're already here?"

Hillary bit her lips, opened the door and got out of the car before entering the mansion with Shayne.

There was a middle-aged maid called Aunt Jade in his mansion. She had been working for Shayne for many years now. She smirked when she noticed Shayne returning home with a woman as she teased, "Oh Master Jinn, this looks like the first time in your life to have brought a woman home!"

Hillary noticed Shayne drinking on the couch when she arrived in the living room. When Shayne noticed Hillary, he seemed to be staring at every inch of her body from her head to toe with a subtle smile. This made Hillary very uncomfortable.

His lustful gaze made Hillary feel like gouging his eyes out.

Hillary said, "Thank you."

Shayne replied, "I'm only here to collect interest, so you don't have to rush to thank me."

Hillary was taking massiv breaths and was obviously doing it in secret without anyone noticing it.

"I need time to think about what you wanted me to do, Shayne. That is because going to Oxford is a big deal to me in my life so, I can't just simply rip the offer letter apart."

Shayne stared at her with a funny look as he said, "Look if anyone has to do any thinking, that'll be me and besides, I haven't told you what I want yet."

"Shayne, you wanted to…"

Shayne then tossed a contract to Hillary before saying, "You should be grateful for your incredibly beautiful looks."

Hillary frowned before grabbing the contract from the table and reading through it.

"A managerial contract?"

Shayne stared intensely at her before saying, "Be a celebrity under Jinn Group. This will be a ten year contract. I can pay for your tuition fees but you'll have to study in North City University. I strongly suggest that you study film. Work will be waiting for you when you're done with everything. I'll deduct a sum of money directly from your sponsors to repay my loan for your university's tuition. Of course, you'll be paying back with interest as well."

Hillary rejected his offer immediately as she said, "A ten year contract is way too long and besides, I never had plans to be a celebrity anyway."

Shayne raised his head, chugged his glass of brandy dry before turning around to look at her as he spoke in a clear deep tone, "Well then, you can start thinking about it from this moment on. However, I suggest that you hurry because I'm an impatient man and the contract will not be valid for too long."
