Our Billion-Worth Twins by Velvet Antler novel Chapter 290

Chapter 290

“Cough, cough!”

A heart shape was painted on Cedrick’s face with a heart in lipstick, and it started on his forehead, went along his cheeks, then closed at his chin.

There were also two strokes above his lips like a red mustache.

Miles did this.

That explained why he offered to return to Joanne’s place. He was technically fleeing before his wonderful act got busted!

She regretted having believed his behavior and did not go into the room to check on Cedrick when she wanted to. What was she supposed to do at this moment?!

The red mustache was hilarious, though. He could turn heads if he walked out!

She must punish Miles for this.

Cedrick did not miss the split second of shock on Catelyn’s face, but he was rather used to this kind of admiring gaze. He was a little doubtful, though. He knew he was dashing, but she did not have to spurt out her water.

“Catelyn, behave yourself.” He behaved coolly.

Catelyn, on the other hand, scratched her head. How should she convince Cedrick to wash his face without getting him angry?

“I…I purchased a new face-washing device recently!”

A face-washing device? What did that have to do with him?

Cedrick did not give any time more to Catelyn to make amends. He looked at his expensive watch-it was late.

“Since you’re rather occupied tonight, I’ll head out now.”

After a short while, Joanne spoke, sounding a little hesitant as she did, “Miles is asleep now, so we’ll speak tomorrow. He’s just a kid, so you should educate him patiently. Don’t be so mad at him.”

Catelyn tried to breathe to calm herself, counting to three.

Try as she did, however, she could not hold her anger. “Joanne, tell the little brat that if he doesn’t explain this to me, I’ll never bring him to the playground again!”

He should have a limit, even if he was pulling a prank. He should have told her that he drew on Cedrick’s face, at least, so she could have tried to resolve the problem!

She could not imagine what Cedrick would think when he discovered the painting on his face. There were only the two of them in the room, he must think it was her.

Joanne did not want to open the door for Catelyn but instead coaxed her to go home.

Minutes later, after resting against the door, Joanne peeked through the tiny lens. When she noticed that Catelyn was nowhere in sight, she felt relieved.
