Hailey's POV
"It can't be!" Mrs Gellar says, walking over to me.
I look back at her, trying to figure out if it was a good or bad thing his son is mated to me.
"How? How could we not sense it?" She asks my dad.
"I could not sense it either.. until now." Theo responds.
"Hailey, do it again." He tells me.l, nodding his head.
I look around the room, at my handsome mate Jaxon. Then this father and mother, who looked at me curiously. My eyes land back at my father and I nod my head back at him.
'Okay Adira, let's try this again.' I say to my wolf, who perks up and the chance to impress her mate.
I close my eyes and try to relax.
Taking deep breaths as I center myself. Canceling any noise that is distracting like heartbeats around this room and footsteps just outside the building.
A long time ago, the moon goddess came to earth to visit her children. She saw that the women were unhappy but the men were doing just fine and realized that this divide was not good for her people. Soon, the women will take matters in to their own hands and leave pack life due to loneliness, watching the men find love and have families.
Some men took on female werewolves to be mothers if their mates died during childbirth or from human diseases. Many of the female warriors here were born from the womb of a human but raised by the warrior unit to become the future that would be needed.
They did this in the Hope's that from birth, the girls would only know of one purpose in life, to become a fearless warrior and nothing else but that is not working as the eyes will see what they want to see and interpret what was seen, to the extent of their understanding.
I feel my body light up, it's like when an idea pings in my head but this time, throughout my body. I feel illuminated and it feels amazing!
I open my eyes to see the shocked faces of my mate and his parents.
I am the girl that is to change the fate of the werewolves. I will be the first female werewolf to be mated, have children and start a new world where female wolves can bring children in to this world.
It will all start with me.
With Jaxon and I, together and I can't wait to finally be with my Jaxon, in public for the world to see.
"You look beautiful, Hailey.." Jaxon says to me. I smile before grabbing his hand, thus illuminating his body as well.
"We have been chosen to be the ones to create a new world for our kind. This is all so new to me but I will embrace this, as long as I'm with you." I say to Jaxon. His eyes swell up with tears, a big smile on his face as he turns to face his parents.
"Please don't fight me on this." He tells them.
"I don't know anything about this legend or what is going on right now but I want to be with Hailey. I am willing to lose my alpha title if you won't have her." He says, holding my hand a little tighter.
"Because once again, there is someone keeping me from her. First it was your mother and I don't know how she found out that she was my mate but she did and when I wanted to make things right with my brother, she killed him before anything could come off the reunion I had planned. I trusted her... I wasn't too upset about her breaking up your family because I was jealous myself that my own brother could have what was meant for me so I let that go. When my brother died and she told me we can finally be together, I started investigating her." He tells me.
I stay quiet on our way back to the house. The thought of someone wanting me dead took me back to being human. I was scared, ready to shit my pants.
"She won't get to you." Theo reassures me but that does not help me.
Stacy is so obsessed about Theodore that she wants him to herself and everyone close to him must die.
'See what this loneliness is doing to our shewolves? Just 2 seconds of a man showing affection and we want to blow up the whole world.' Adira says to me.
Thoughts of Azuri come to mind.
If Stacy is this crazy for my dad, how would Azuri react to Jaxon having a mate?
'She's going to fight you, that's for sure.' My wolf says.
Just when I thought I had Stacy to worry about, there was one more person and that girl did not work alone. The entire school stood with her but I have Jaxon, future alpha.
He will protect us. He has to.
