Dangerous affairs with my professor.
Chapter 69.
Author’ Pov.
Elena’s heart boiled in rage and she had one thoughts going in and out of her head. To turn around and send a hot slap to his face, but she wouldn't. She was scared, and her bones were close to being paralyzed. She had worked so hard to get here. She had worked extremely hard to be the school's most renounced intelligent student. She didn't put all this work up to be jeopardized by something that could be fixed in a better way. She had future plans, to shame her father and her step-sister, and she would do all it took In the most legal way ever to achieve all of that.
“You haven't said a word, young lady. Do you not want to get cleared off.”
“I… I need some time to think about my decision I will get back to you.”
“Sounds great!” he smirked and let loose of her.
Elena turned to her heels and approached the door immediately.
“You are not allowed to say a word to anyone, not even Professor Dante. Understood?”
“Perfectly.” Elena gripped the door numb, she gulped down nothing and stepped out of his office heading straight to that of Dante’s.
She placed a knock on his door and he ushered her in.
“Good day...,
“You are late.” Dante cut her off not sparing her a glance.
Elena gulped down nothing.
“I… I am sorry. I.,”
“Seat. We do not have time for that.”
Her eyes rested on him for a while then she took her seat calmly after a while and they got into the deal.
Half an hour had passed and none of them said a word to each other. The room was not far from an extension of a grave house. It felt so discomforting for them. I'm between Dante and noticed that Elena had been trying to say some things to him, but he had not been giving her the privilege.
“Dante….” she called after a while and Dante raised an eyebrow.
“I… I…”
“If it's about last night then you do not have to talk about it, keep it professional.”
Elena’s heart clenched and she felt a surge of pain. Dante hated her this much that he would not listen to any of her words. She gulped down nothing and blinked back the tears in her eyes.
“You know what? Screw you! Fucking screw you! I know I messed up, but you not even letting me fix things cause you do not even want to hear me talk. Do you hate me this way? Is this your way of tormenting me? If yes then you have won! Take your trophy and let me be!”
Dante raised a gaze to her, his fist tightened and he felt guilt washing through him. He made her cry. Now he hates himself for doing that.
Anotio has been caught up with work today and he had pleaded with one of the men to drive Elena home after taking permission from Elena.
“Good evening ma'am.” the new driver greeted the moment Elena got into the car.
“Good evening,” she responded calmly, and the ride for the evening began.
Elena rested her head gently against the window and watched as the city moved in a blur. The thoughts of Dante invaded her head and she smiled softly at the moment they spent a while ago. If she didn't end up with Dante then she was either going to die or live the rest of her life miserable, cause this love was greater than she thought of it.
While in her soft thoughts, the car pulled to a halt and Elena jacked back and forth staring around.
“What's up?”
“I am sorry ma'am, but the car just suddenly stopped and I really do not know what's happening. Just sit here, I will go and check the car.
“Oh…” Elena mouthed and watched as the driver stepped out of the car.
She settled into the car, watching around. Of all places in the world, the car choosed to stop at this very unsecured place. It felt so unreal.
She brought out her iPad in a bid to distract herself from the thoughts that the place was very risky and for now her phone had no signal at all.
A few minutes into her phone she noticed that the driver was not saying anything about the car.
She gulped down softly, trying to distract herself from the thoughts that nothing was happening and she was just overthinking, but something was just not right. First, it was Antonio not being able to pick her up today, but now it's the car breaking down. The first and most unusual thing in the world. Just when she made to step out of the car in a bid to know more about the car's affairs, her fear was suddenly confirmed the moment she heard a loud sound of a gun ripping the air and boom her driver had been shot to the floor.
