DANGEROUS AFFAIR’S WITH MY PROFESSOR.
Chapter 19.
Elena walked beside Dante, as they made their way to the room only God knew next.
“Mr Dante.”
“Just Dante.” he corrected and she wondered how he would be fine with her calling him just his name. It kind of sounded really weird judging that he was old enough to be her elder brother. Not her father though. Eldest brother! But she suddenly remembered that he was still old enough to be her brother when she took his dick shamelessly in his office that day. He was still old enough to be her big brother when she pleaded with him to touch her, he was still older than her when her body craved every part of his touch.
“I am all ears.” he pulled her out of her thoughts and she took her lower lips in.
“I…. I was wondering since you do not have any friends how do you play gulf? Who do you play it with?”
Dante spared her a glance then focused right back at his walk.
“Who gave you such an idea?”
“The idea of you not having friends?” she asked instead, but he just kept quiet.
“It's obvious right? I have been in this house for 2 weeks now and I haven't seen you step out except days you had lectures to offer, you are always indoors, not visiting anyone neither is anyone visiting you.”
Dante let out a soft sighs. Was it that obvious? Well he gave no fuck!
“I do not keep friends, what Good does it bring? I have all the luxury life can offer so what else would I be seeking from them? he inquired purposely proud and Elena kept mute for a while then suddenly replied.
“Peace…. I mean friends gives us peace right?”
Dante stared down at her and scoffed.
“Do I look like I lack peace? I do not need friends okay? I have never been interested in such unproductive shit.”
“Urgh…” Elena groaned and watched him take the lead again. Did he really call friendship unrealistic shit? She would die if Mira ever stopped talking to her. Perhaps to him, friendship was unrealistic and unproductive, but to her, it was the best thing that could ever happen to a person.
The walk went on, silently and Elena wondered what it felt like to live in Dante’s world. It seemed really dark to her, darker than hers.
While they walked gently Elena noticed that Dante skipped a door and Elena tried not to ask why, but she would never miss out on that. The door was beautiful and she wanted to know what was in there also.
“Won't you show me to this room?” she asked and stopped at the door.
Dante didn't spare her a glance, he only walked towards his direction his hands in his pocket still. He took a route and in few seconds they were standing at a large part of the house that appeared to be the bar section of the house.
“Heavens!” she gagged unable to keep her surprise abyss.
The bar section of the house was quiet exquisite. It was the most darkest part of the house yet the prettiest part, damn! It looked so much like those pretty five-star bars she always watched in mafia movies. Gush she so much hates mafia men. It reminded her of her father. Of course, he was a Mafia. She just realized how sad she had endured a lot under her father's watch, just for him to leave her for her step-sister.
“This is heavenly. It looks like those five-star bars or rather the bars in a casino.
“You know about a casino ?” his brows arched curiously and she shook her head negatively.
“No. Never! I have only seen them in movies those mafia movies where they take people's life for zero to Tiro reasons. Gush! So unbelievable!” she groaned with a shrug and he stood silent and watched her admire the bar.
“Have you been to a cinema before?” Dante asked as she stared around the beautiful place.
“I rarely go out you know, and I think if I ever want to, it would be night crawling.”
“Night crawling…..” he murmured in his thought.
“Do you not have a cinema at your home?” her expression was priceless when she walked in and it got him wondering.
Elena sparred Dante a glance, and she scoffed the pain out.
“Home?” she asked and shook her head. Hearing him call that dangerous house home made her want to laugh her ass out. But her chest was already filled with pain.
“Glory halls has never been to me a home. Home was a place that conjured up feelings of peace and warmth. It was where you could be yourself where you are most relaxed and happy. Where you feel loved, accepted, and welcomed.” she explained and smiled but Dante could see beyond that smile.
“Glory Hall was never to me home, cause it did nothing but evoke feelings of failure pain, and inadequacy.” Elena hated that she was tearing up this way, or showing her weakness in this form, but she was rather happy doing it with him. She felt safer saying all of this to him. For an unknown reason.
And the look Dante’s eyes held was welcoming, it gave her the zeal to express herself more.
“Glory hall only brings in pain, it gave me the weirdest feeling of being unsure of who I was or what I wanted in life. Only on rare occasions have I ever felt at home. Days when I was not deprived of being with Nanny Ella, days when my father, stepmother, and sister were nowhere to be found. Dante watched as the tears rolled out of her cheeks and he felt his heart clenched. His hand tightened into a fist and fuck! His blood boiled. The urge to get that motherfucket and feed him to the dogs surged into him. Being out of the game at this wrong time was way annoying! He would have pulled a call through and get the motherfucker crawling to her feet!
Boiling in range, Dante was oblivious of when he walked closer and pulled her tiny body into his warm embrace.
“Fuck my father! Fuck him for making me feel worthless! Fuck him for making me feel incompetent!” she sobbed and Dante just parted her hair gently, his brows frowned. Seeing her cry broke him for the unsurest reasons ever. Dante stroked her hair gently as she cried on him, he felt it. She had handled a lot of psychological pain, at a young age, yet she was still this brave.
Elena settled into Dante’s arm happily, finding solace in how his hand wrapped around her body. Fuck! With her wrenching heart, she still wasn't missing out on the fact that he smelled like heaven. She wanted to be in his embrace forever, it felt like heaven.
