Obsession novel Chapter 47

I got the text from Alex to say that his arrived at the airport a couple hours later and I got the car keys and climbed in, driving off. I set the GPS on and followed the directions until I got to the Airport.

I climbed out and went inside the building, looking for Alex. When I smelt his familiar scent I smiled and walked up to him, hugging him. I felt at ease and comfortable.

"I missed you" I smiled and he raises his eyebrow.

"Really? Did you?" He asks and I giggle, as we both walk to the car.

We both climb into the car and I put the GPS directions on an followed the directions home.

"So what happened?" Alex asks and I shrug, shaking my head.

"I kind of don't wanna talk about it right now. I'm just over the way I get treated by Grayson... and they're both not good" I say softly and Alex scoffs.

"What did you think was going to happen Skye? They are the infamous twins that are known to be killers and to be dangerous, as well as to be really evil. Don't expect flowers and chocolates" Alex says and I scoff.

"Excuse me? Boy, I will make you walk home. Yes actually, I do expect flowers and chocolates. I deserve flowers and chocolates, what I don't deserve is to be treated like dirt while all I do is try to be nice and sweet all the time and try to please someone who doesn't deserve fuck all" I say harshly and Alex sighs.

"What I'm trying to say is that don't expect much from them. And yes, I agree Skye. You do deserve flowers and chocolates. You deserve happiness in a relationship, and especially you deserve to feel safe and protected with your partner. I'm sure you feel the exact opposite, because I sense a lot of anxiety coming off you, and you're not suppose to feel that. Your partner, or your mate is suppose to give you butterflies and make you smile. Your partner is suppose to be there to hold you all the time, to be able to overdose you with affection and love. You should not want to leave your partners side. That's what love is" Alex says and I sigh as I park the car.

I climb out and unlock the house and walk inside.

Alex walks in after me.

"It reeks of human to say the least" He says and I giggle.

"Look, this is my brothers house. Yes his human, no he doesn't know anything about shapeshifting animals. Please just don't bring it up" I say and Alex nods.

"Does he know about the twins?" Alex asks and I shake my head, showing Alex the other spare bedroom.

"And what I mean about the collaring thing is that Grayson has taken you as his submissive right? But he never claimed you as his submissive. He might of dominated you once or twice, but it's not claiming. When you take ownership of your submissive, you collar them to show everybody that you're theres, and to show you that they own you" He says and I sigh, pouting as I realise that I was actually nothing to them.

"You're right. I was stupid" I say softly and Alex shakes his head.

"No, you just needed to see things from a different perspective. The same goes for Ethan. He should of collared you to claim ownership, but he never did" He says and I nod and sigh.

"Can I ask you something Skye?" Alex asks and I nod.

"Have you ever felt that tingly feeling when you knew exactly who you belonged to? That feeling of pride when you know who owns you? That feeling of protection as you know his always by your side, guiding you?" Alex asks and I shake my head and wipe a tear away.

Alex sighs and sits next to me, hugging me tightly.

"I can say one thing, those boys are stupid. To throw away such a beautiful little thing. They're dumb" Alex says and rubs my back. I hug him and smile.
