No Memory No Mercy novel Chapter 119

At that moment, I, the so-called petty woman Edward had just described, happened to walk by.

I had always known he didn't like me, but hearing him openly badmouth me in front of Alicia still made my stomach twist with irritation and disgust.

"Well then, hurry up and welcome your precious Alicia into the Ford family so I don't have to be an eyesore to you anymore," I said.

Following behind Hugh, I walked over to the cabinet, picked up the first-aid kit, and turned to leave.

They seemed stunned by my sudden outburst. The atmosphere froze, and for a few seconds, no one said a word.

They seemed taken aback by my sudden words. The atmosphere turned cold, and no one said a word.

Jonathan glanced at me heavily, but I ignored him and walked past.

The scent of his dark wood cologne mixed oddly with the smell of the medicine in my hand, making me even more uneasy.

I quickened my pace. Just then, Edward's displeased voice rang out behind me. "Don't you know how to greet your elders when you see them?"

There wasn't even a trace of guilt on his face despite being caught badmouthing me. Instead, he had the audacity to scold me for being rude.

I paused briefly, turning my back to them.

"Why should I greet you? I'm a petty person. I hold grudges!" I said sharply.

Without looking back, I left. I threw his own words back at him, then walked away without even turning around.

After a few steps, I could still hear Alicia complaining to Edward behind me.

Nothing she said was new. It was always the same old lines. She never meant to ruin my relationship with Jonathan. She only came to the Ford Manor to spend time with Edward. She hoped I wouldn't misunderstand.

I was tired of hearing it, but she kept going.
