No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 1302

Ivy was completely on edge. "We have to find a way to shut her up." If she'd known things would come to this point, she would never have shown her face to Xenia.

Owen cautiously suggested. "Shall we try sending her a message and telling her to keep her mouth shut?"

"What if she's confessed everything?"

"She doesn't know who you really are, and she's not stupid enough to show all her cards. Otherwise, why would the Liddells be protecting her?"

Ivy took a deep breath and said, "Fine. Do what you said." At the very least, Xenia could not ruin their plans before they could wrap everything up.

At the Liddell residence, Xenia sat at the dining table and glared at the housekeepers beside her. "I told you I wanted dishes from an award-winning restaurant. This is disgusting."

One of the housekeepers answered, "But we're not capable of ordering from such restaurants…"

Xenia exploded. "Get the butler now!"

Barnaby soon approached and asked, "Is there a problem, Ms. Quigley?"

"I asked for food from an award-winning restaurant!"

Barnaby calmly replied, "Mr. Liddell never instructed us to fulfill that request. If you don't like the food, you're free to go hungry."

"What kind of attitude is that? You're just a butler; who gave you the right to talk to me like that? One phone call from me, and you'll be out of here!" Xenia barked.

She stormed toward the door and was ready to leave when Barnaby calmly stepped forward. Then, he met her eyes and declared, "According to Mr. Liddell, you're not allowed back in if you walk out the door."

Xenia froze. Turning around, she spat, "I don't believe you."

"You could go ahead and try."
