No Divorce? The Billionaire's Love Chase! novel Chapter 751

As they passed a clay modeling stall at the night market, Claudia insisted on stopping to make a figurine.

York could only oblige.

He disliked crowded places, especially pedestrian-heavy night markets like this one.

But Claudia absolutely loved them.

And she always insisted on dragging him along.

Usually, when he came with her, his role was to pay for things, hold her bags, act as her bodyguard, or carry her home on his back when she got tired.

He had zero interest in shopping himself.

The November night was already quite cold.

York lifted Claudia from her stool and switched places with her, shielding her from the wind.

If she caught a cold, she’d use it as an excuse to cling to him for days.

Late at night, at a stall in a corner of the market, Claudia focused on sculpting a small clay figure in York’s likeness while he sat beside her, scrolling through his phone to keep her company.

After more than forty minutes, Claudia shoved the finished figure in front of York's face. “York, quick, tell me how great I am!”

York stared at the ‘naked’ version of ‘him’ in her hands, pushed the figure away, and stood up to pay.

Claudia brandished the figurine in front of him. “I made it to look just like you. Doesn’t it?”

York grabbed her hand and continued walking.

Claudia chattered on as she followed him. “The wig looks a little fake. I’ll trim it when we get back. And I’ll make it some clothes. It does look a little weird naked.”

She shoved the figurine in his face again. “But it’s okay. I intentionally left a certain part off when I was making it.”

Claudia pointed to the smooth area between the figure's legs for York to see.

York clamped a hand over her mouth and stuffed the figurine into a shopping bag.

Just then, his phone rang.

Claudia held up the figure with its ‘broken arms, legs, and head’ to York. “But this doll was supposed to keep me company when you’re not around!”

A strange emotion flickered in York’s eyes as he looked at Claudia’s crestfallen expression.

He found himself unconsciously softening his voice to comfort her. “I’ll bring you back to make another one when I have time.”

Claudia hummed in a coquettish way, pouting slightly as York led her to a stall selling roasted chestnuts.

And so it went. Claudia would browse one stall, then another, occasionally turning back to York for a snack.

York followed her silently, and whenever she turned around, he would peel a chestnut and pop it into her mouth.

They wandered like this until nine-thirty, when York reminded her it was time to go home.

Claudia obediently followed York back.

She looked up at him, her eyes crinkling into a smile.

She loved pestering York and making him spend time with her.
