No Divorce? The Billionaire's Love Chase! novel Chapter 749

York got up and went into the bathroom.

After coming out ten minutes later, he couldn't get back to sleep.

At eight in the morning, as soon as York came downstairs, he heard arguing from the dining room.

His sister, Darleen, stood cautiously at the top of the stairs.

"York, Mom and Dad are fighting again."

Seeing his sister nervously gripping the railing, York reassured her.

"Go back to your room. I'll go see what's happening."

After Darleen went upstairs, York instructed a servant, "Please take breakfast to the young lady's room."

A few minutes later, York entered the dining room.

He stood at the doorway without going in.

When Sewell saw his son, he didn't tone it down; instead, he became even more unrestrained.

He pointed at Wendy and said to his son, "The Vanka Jewelry Gala is for their top 100 VIP clients from around the world. Vanka's chief designer, Linda, is the wife of the president of Starlight Group. I asked your mother to build a good relationship with Designer Linda, but not only did she fail, she ended up in a conflict with her. What's wrong with me saying a few words about it?"

Wendy's eyes were red with anger.

"Everyone in our circle knows what Linda's temper is like! She thinks you have poor character because you cheated on your family and refuses to work with the Ferguson Group. And you have the nerve to blame me?"

Old Mr. Ferguson scolded Wendy angrily, "You're a woman who contributes nothing but brings chaos to this house. What kind of behavior is that!"

Wendy was both furious and hurt. "Dad, how can you say something like that?"

York walked to his mother's side.

He looked at her seriously and said, "Mom, Dad thinks you're useless, and Grandpa thinks you just make a mess of the house. Why are you still here?"

Wendy looked at her son, momentarily stunned.

"York, you...?"

York glanced at his grandfather and father, then his gaze returned to his mother.

After speaking, York turned and left the dining room.

After leaving the mansion, he felt an overwhelming sense of frustration.

York drove aimlessly, circling the streets of Capital City for hours.

Around noon, he found himself parked outside the Watkins' house.

As the car window rolled down, York watched Claudia chasing her seven-or-eight-year-old brother with a broom, playing and laughing.

The gloom in his heart slowly began to lift.

He had intended to leave without disturbing them, but Claudia's sharp eyes spotted him.

She brought her brother out, and York got out of the car.

Claudia and her brother took his hands, one on each side, and led him inside.

"My mom had the kitchen make garlic butter shrimp scampi and honey glazed salmon," Claudia told him.

York looked down, his gaze falling on Claudia's youthful face.
