No Divorce? The Billionaire's Love Chase! novel Chapter 369

At ten in the morning, in the Ferguson Group's CEO office.

Mark reported, "Mr. Ferguson, the competitor is one of Mr. Cyrus's people."

York's well-defined fingers tapped lightly on the desk. "Get the car. We're going to Grant Manor."

Mark remained standing. "...President Ferguson and Mrs. Ferguson are already at Grant Manor."

York leaned back in his chair, a look of exhaustion on his face.

After a brief pause, he instructed Mark, "Make the arrangements. I'm flying to Maronia this afternoon."

He was determined to win this project back.

Meanwhile, at Grant Manor.

Old Mr. Grant could hardly believe that his own grandson had maliciously stolen a multi-billion-dollar project from the Ferguson family.

"Is this true?" Old Mr. Grant asked Cyrus.

Cyrus, seated in his wheelchair, lowered his eyes.

He fiddled with the rosary bracelet in his hand and nodded. "The younger generation has grown too arrogant. As an elder, I couldn't stand by and watch, so I decided to help President Ferguson teach him a lesson."

Sewell, not wanting to offend the Grant family, said, "Mr. Cyrus, if you have something to say, please say it plainly. While it's true you have a history with the Vance family elders, the Ferguson family has never wronged you, have we?"

Cyrus looked up. "Offending my primary physician is the same as offending me."

Sewell and Wendy exchanged a look.

Wendy said, "Mr. Cyrus, if York has done something wrong, you, as his elder, have every right to discipline him. My husband and I have no complaints. But their marital squabbles hardly warrant launching a business war, do they?"

Cyrus patted his grandfather's stomach. "I know, Grandfather."

An hour later, in the Ferguson Group's CEO office.

"What did Mr. Cyrus say?" York asked his parents.

Wendy said, "York, I truly don't understand why you won't divorce Claudia. Aren't you supposed to be a master of calculation, skilled at weighing pros and cons? Now even outsiders are siding with Claudia. How much more are you going to let the Ferguson family lose?"

York replied, "Mom, I didn't get to this seat and learn to handle the board by accident. I know how to play the game. Guys like Mr. Cyrus? I've dealt with them before. If he's got a problem with our family, he'll have a problem with me."

After a brief pause, York added, "But I will not agree to a divorce."

Sewell slammed his hand on the table. "The Ferguson family has been a powerhouse for a century. Losing a few billion-dollar projects won't shake our foundation. The business world is a battlefield. If the Grant family truly wants to be our enemy, York, you don't need to show them any mercy!"

York discreetly observed Wendy's reaction.
