No Divorce? The Billionaire's Love Chase! novel Chapter 281

The sight of Rock Sayer made York's face darken completely.

Rock mirrored York's scowl, then sidled up to Claudia. "Claudia, mind if we join you?"

Claudia smiled and nodded. "Whatever you'd like, Master Sayer. My treat."

York grabbed Claudia's wrist, pulling her slightly closer to him. "Claudia," he said in a low voice, "have you already forgotten what I just said to you?"

Claudia looked at him with a puzzled expression. "Did you say something to me just now?"

York's face remained grim.

Peter walked over from a distance and greeted the three of them. "What a coincidence!"

York frowned at the sight of Peter.

Rock chuckled. "I just followed these two in here."

York was speechless.

Peter graciously offered, "Since we're all here, let's eat together. It's on me."

"Aren't you here with a friend of a friend?" York asked him.

Peter pointed to a nearby four-person table. "What's the fun in eating with friends? It's much more enjoyable to eat with you guys."

Rock linked his arm with Claudia's. "Claudia, let's sit together."

York grabbed Rock's arm, his eyes flashing a warning. "I can call your grandfather to come sit with you."

The two men glared at each other, sparks flying.

Rock pouted, released Claudia, and cheekily sat down on Peter's side.

Claudia and York sat on the other side.

Ann watched from outside, barely out of sight. York was peeling shrimp for Claudia, Peter got her a drink, Rock piled food on her plate. She could feel the jealousy eating her up.

Her family may have been ordinary, but she had graduated from a dance academy. In terms of height and poise, she was superior to most. Not to mention, she now had a beautiful, surgically enhanced face and was a live-streamer with millions of followers.

So what if Claudia came from a wealthy family? The Watkins family was bankrupt. She was nothing more than a fallen socialite leaching off her husband's family—in fact, she was worse off than Ann.

Just an ordinary doctor with a limited income potential. Besides having a seductive, fox-like face, what was so special about her? Why did everyone side with her, orbit around her? In what way was she inferior to that bitch Claudia?

Laurel, noticing her daughter's features twisting with jealousy, quickly pulled her into the car.

"Didn't you say York Ferguson was getting a divorce soon?" Laurel asked. "Why is he still eating with his wife?"

Ann clenched her fists, taking deep breaths to calm herself. After a long moment, she finally said, "York is an exceptional man. His wife is just clinging to him, refusing to let go."

"Don't worry, Ann," Laurel comforted her. "They don't have any children. As long as you and Ethan are there to drive a wedge between them, they're bound to divorce sooner or later."
