“What do you think?” Maxine looked at James with a smile.

James had been trying to figure out what Maxine was thinking.

He had already guessed. However, he did not reveal it.

“Maxine, I really don’t know. I’ve always thought of you as my little sister. Why are you doing this?”

“Little sister?” Maxine sneered. “Don’t play dumb, James. You know what I’m thinking. I gave up so much to help you, but all I got in return was a thank you. I don’t need your thanks.”

“Then what do you want?” James asked sternly.

“The same as I said before. Kill Thea. If she lives, the child will not.”

“But I really have no idea where Thea is,” James said exasperatedly.
