Sky was not totally an evildoer. From the conversation they had, James realized that Sky was not profoundly immoral and wicked. He only wanted to be the most powerful individual in the world.

He said while smiling, “Don’t worry, I can guarantee my own safety even if I don’t stand a chance against that creature.”

Then, he headed in the direction of the cavern.
