Never Mistake a Queen for a Lapdog novel Chapter 1111

Crystal Chelsea had never been so publicly humiliated in her entire life.

The color drained from her face, and she clenched her fists so hard her knuckles turned white, barely suppressing the urge to tremble.

Gia Vance offered a gentle, comforting out. "Don't take it to heart. If Mr. Harcourt really listened to you, he wouldn't have run off to be Noreen's assistant."

Crystal forced a smile that looked worse than a grimace.

Dylan Wilder remained in his seat, not offering a single word of support from start to finish. He just stared down at his phone as if the whole scene had nothing to do with him.

Yet Seth Harcourt actually stood up to defend Noreen.

The comparison only made the bitter taste in her mouth stronger. She forced a stiff smile that looked more like a grimace.

Unable to sit there any longer, she stood up and headed for the door, suppressing her emotions. "I'm going to the restroom."

Gia immediately followed.

The moment they left, Jude Wilder couldn't help but complain. "What is wrong with you two? Why on earth did you bring Crystal and Gia here? Are you just begging for drama?"

Dylan made his stance clear. "She didn't come here for me today. Don't pin this on me."

Healy Naylor sighed helplessly. "When you called me, Gia happened to overhear. She insisted on tagging along. What was I supposed to do?"

Outside the door, Crystal froze in her tracks, the remaining color bleeding from her face.

She looked at Gia, whose lips were tightly pressed together, her gaze turning cold.

Neither of them said a word.

The harsh, pale lights in the hallway made their expressions look exceptionally grim.

In the restroom, Crystal exploded. "Who the hell does Noreen Gilmore think she is? Does she even deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as me? Everyone knows she slept her way into Seth's bed using underhanded tricks!"

Gia echoed her sentiments. "Exactly. She really thinks time can erase her filthy past."

"I have no idea what kind of spell she put on Seth! He defends her at every turn!"

"Alright, don't lower yourself by arguing with someone like her," Gia soothed.

Crystal's expression eased slightly. "You're right. Now isn't the time to obsess over this."

She adjusted her attitude, and the two of them walked out of the restroom together.

The moment they left, Lillian Laurent stepped out from one of the stalls.
